I don't get the delay. That seems like a deliberate... message of some sort to Nintendo doesn't it? Otherwise why the delay? here you have a new platform with the usual drought that all new platforms experience and you have a highly anticipated title almost ready to go and you delay it. Why would you do that?

Haha! Good point :-p
I am pretty gutted about this news. The demo for Rayman is seriously fantastic and has been my most anticipated game for a wee while now. Even booked a couple days off work!
On a less selfish note, it's great more people will get to play this - and i appreciate releasing at the same time will ultimately help sales overall, however it is frustrating that a two week wait has suddenly changed to 7months... That sucks :-(

I find it a strange decision. Is it really worth sitting on a completely finished(?) game for just short of seven months, rather than have two different marketing campaigns? Maybe Ubisoft's financial department have decided this is the case.... but that seems strange considering that the WiiU version has the most features and you'd expect that's the one they'd be pushing the most.
Maybe it has something to do with the iToys that were shown in the initial demo? If Ubisoft have decided that it's not worth the investment to produce them just for the WiiU, then they'll have to create NFC base stations for the PS3 and Xbox.
Who knows, but I'm not impressed. And explaining to your son that the game has been delayed past the Summer Holidays and won't be available until he's started Year 5 for a couple of weeks..... that's like infinity to an eight year old.

Given the performance of Origins, the dilemma facing Ubi Soft was probably between selling stuff-all and selling 25% of stuff-all.

Seems a bit pointless for this game really but I wonder if we'll start seeing more third party Wii U games jumping ship as the publishers can't be selling that many at copies the moment.

Man the Wii U and Nintendo just keep giving.
Enjoy Monster Hunter people.
Monster Hunter series producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, shared the information with Gamereactor in a recent interview. This means that American players will not be able to play online with European players, and neither one will be able to play with Japanese players . Capcom have since confirmed the news on their forums.

I dont mind if its multi format but its retarded beyond belief to delay the wii u finished version ,
I knew it wouldn't be long before a version of the came out lol-
Pre order cancelled and I won't be buying any more ubisoft games again
Certainly not new copies they won't get a penny off me again .Last edited by yesteryeargames; 08-02-2013, 01:04.
