Come 2014 should have a nice library of games, it doesn't suit everyone though. I am finding games on other consoles not as fun as titles like Pikmin, think its been the most relaxed and fun game I have played in a long time and it's a nice break from serious and gritty games.

I really enjoyed Pikmin 3 and particularly liked playing a proper game on the controller.
As you say it's a really relaxing
A fun game to just chill back with in bed.
I was planning on keeping it for w101 and Bayonetta (which I thought was this year) but following on from the demo if w101, it doesn't have that special thing I hoped it would.
I've pretty much got new release games queued up (Saints Row, Rayman, Beyond) until the next gen hits , where I plan on having a clear out and probably just keeping a single console. May grab a PS4/Vita combo later on down the line for some off screen play , well have to see how it performs as it's bound to be a bit laggier than the WiiU

Don't judge games by the demo boris. Look at dead space, the most god aweful piece of crap experience of a demo I've ever had the misfortune of downloading. Put me off the game completely and I never even gave it a second thought. Game comes out, one of the generations shining moments, at least for me anyway.
Plus the guys developing it should never be underestimated of course.

Good point on Dead Space, that's one of the best games I've played this gen and the demo was lame. It's not that just w101 wasn't what I was hoping for (judging by the demo), the overall support for the machine is low, man cannot survive on Nintendo alone! My own circumstances /lifestyle and habits I've got Rayman/Saints Row 4/ and Halo maps all due out the same week, those are things I know I will enjoy and will occupy more than enough of my gaming time.
Later on down the line when smash brothers and Bayonetta are out I may reconsider getting one again, but I suspect that my overall indifference to Nintendo nowadays is driven by my gaming habits rather than anything Nintendo is or isn't doing, although that doesn't help matters.

I can't wait to have more people to play with to be honest!

This Thursday's eShop update

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams (Black Forest Games, €14.99 / ?12.99) — A title that was successfully crowdfunded last year, it's made its way to Wii U with an "Easy" mode and off-TV play included. This puzzle platformer continues the franchise that first began with The Great Giana Sisters in 1987 and continued with Giana Sisters DS; footage so far has shown an attractive game full of potentially clever and enjoyable mechanics, so we'll work on a review to figure out whether it's dreamy or a bit of a nightmare.
Wii U Virtual Console
The Wii U Virtual Console is offering up three versions of Street Fighter II this week, along with a special promotion. If you buy two of these games you get the third for free; offer is valid until 29th August.
Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (Capcom, €7.99 / ?5.49)
Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (Capcom, €7.99 / ?5.49)
Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting (€7.99 / ?5.49)

The Wonderful 101 (Nintendo, €49.99 / ?39.99) — Unveiled with little fanfare during E3 2012, this action title from PlatinumGames makes you the leader of 100 superheroes as you try and save the world from invading aliens with a fondness for enormous mechs. It's chaotic, colourful and utterly off-the-wall, while throwing up plenty of challenge that insists on practice and — perhaps — dropping a difficulty level or two. We're big fans and gave it a strong recommendation in our The Wonderful 101 review. Available from 23rd August.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist (Ubisoft, €69.99 / ?55.99) — The latest entry in the long-running franchise, Sam Fisher makes his return to a Nintendo console with some Wii U GamePad-specific controls to try and enhance the experience. With single player, online co-op and multiplayer included there could be plenty on offer in this one, as Ubisoft aims to combine stealth and action to please gamers of various sensibilities. We'll sneak out a review as soon as we can, but until then you can learn more in our interview with the game's Producer, Liu Jun. Available from 25th August.

Does the difficulty ramp up later in the game J0e? heard it gets quite tough, especially if you're playing with three CPU players helping you out.
Picked it up at lunchtime, look forward to giving it a go tonight.
This video shows the game well, but is a walkthrough so spoilers of bosses at about four and eight minute marks roughly
(unembedded so no spoilers)

I paid ?10 for it. That's the only reason I got it. I'm on the third stage/world now. It just seems like you aim at the baddies and mash the A or B Button until you win. There isn't much strategy involved from what I've played so far. I'd definitely say it's aimed at a younger audience.Kept you waiting, huh?
