Id be willing to bet Bayonetta barely makes it out in time for June and Smash Bros doesn't hit till Nov next yrar. Ninty can be trusted on several things but sadly not release dates

Pokemon Rumble U figures are GAME exclusive, sad thing is, buy them and you're buying blind

Yeah - however, it's a great game and the figures really do add a lot to it (I've had the import version for months.)
I can't wait to have more people to play with to be honest!

          Are the figures a requirement?
          Kept you waiting, huh?

            No don't think so J0e

No, but they do enhance your existing characters.

                Absolutely not!
Basically, in game you earn coins and can buy extra toys.
However, the figures allow you to have a Pokemon where you can customise the moves on them.
You buy moves using in game coins that you earn in battles.

Honestly, it's a great little download games - and I repeat - the toys are absolutely not a requirement!

how do the figures work then do you have to balance them on the pad to keep using them or do you just tag them once seems a bit of a strange one. Also the game looks rubbish and very unpolished compared to other collectable toy games like skylanders or Disney Infinity, is it just an arena based game because at the moment it looks like the multiplayer arena sections of skylanders?

You place the figure on the pad when you start the game.
When you make changes to the data you need to put the figure back on (not that often).
Basically, it's a 4 player arena game where you battle your way back to the Pokemon Toy shop.
It'd 4 player with AI - or with local friends.
It's manic and fast - and there are a lot of moves and Pokemon. It's pretty good fun - and I felt that I really enjoyed it for the money I spent on it.
(Will probably get it out tonight if not playing Dragon Quest X.)

Just think, back in the day those features would have been unlocked without the need to buy toys.

It's a fun feature for kids (who will get additional fun out of playing with the figures and using their imagination) but as an adult I absolutely cannot be arsed to buy a toy that I will have to keep in drawer in order to access features of a game.

                      F*cking Skylanders.

                        You're totally right.

In other news, if you (or you want to get the missus) in to shape, ?4.99 Wii U bargain here

                        (taken from HotUKDeals).

I paid 25 quid for Duck Tales on GB back in the day. 15 for an HD update with a pretty big overhaul isn't too bad.
At the end of the day i respect they have made this game for people of age.

I'd rather it be ?11.99 than not be made at all.

Fair point, but I think at that price point it would only really appeal to those who have fond memories of the original.
Reviews seem to be between 6 to 8 out of ten which isn't too inspiring for those on the fence too. Hardly a sold 8 which would have made people part with coin more easily.

Yeah, but publishers know all too well that within a month or two it will be half price in the sale, and they know we know too...thats how i see initial high prices these days...with target audiences buying from the off, and the rest getting it cheap shortly thereafter.

Is it possible to buy a EU (in my case, Norwegian) AC adaptor so I don't have to use a stepdown on both my US Wii U and gamepad? Haven't seen any for sale.
