Things have been pretty quiet, but with Pikmin 3 out touch wood releases are going to be decent in the next few weeks and months, Cloudberry Kingdom and Harvest moon hit the Wii U eStore this Friday, there is 30% off Nano Assault Neo too.
Duck Tales and Wonderful 101 and a few others are due in August plus a few other bits so at least things won't be quite so barren.
Could do with more releases and sales I can't deny.
i thought oooo that's the second time ive heard about Cloudberrry Kingdom i will go have a look to see if its something that intrests me........
............ it looks like an old Amiga shareware game and the art style is terrible, it dosent look fun either and its made by a company called pwnee is it that bad that were looking forward to stuff like this on the wiiu?

where is the Gamecube Downloads? where are the n64 games on the uk eshop? why cant i play wii games on the gamepad? how come the download store is so barren yet the 3ds has a thriving catalog of retail and download games? nothing makes a lot of sense to how they have treated the wiiu
Retailers are already slashing the price of games and the system zombiu recently poped up on blockbuster for ?12 I've seen Assassins creed for ?8, and countless other games at a massively discounted rate, i doubt we will see this happening on the ps4 or Xbox1 in year one,
if i had actually paid ?250 for my wiiu i might be a bit annoyed at this moment in time but thanks to a Tesco mix up the machine was free, still hurts to see games i paid ?45 for discounted so heavily at such an early stage.

The 160,000 is wholesales which means at retail, they are selling next to nowt. Another mario, Zelda or Pikmin will have little or no impact on retail demand because by then PS4 and XBOX One will be out meaning consumers will get even more bargains on PS3 and 360 which will still continue sell in good volumes for sometime and they have a great catalogue of games to choose from.
From always loving Ninty for me now they are a no go area as a console maker. Yes there might one or two first party games, the current and next gen Sony and Microsoft get my money

I was an absolute skeptic when the Wii-U hit, but after an E3 where we saw companies boasting how they've spent vast sums of money on killer new features like characters who walk around with hands in their pockets or incredible super accurate dog models. Everything saturated with the words "epic", "narrative based" and reeking of more movie-director wannabe developers I decided to give it a try. Two days and everyone here is in love with it, and that's just with Nintendoland, Rayman Challenge and just today Zombi U. Every game looks incredible and seeing Nintendo's art direction in HD is just glorious. Between what's out now and the 8 or so solid exclusives hitting by year's end I don't see how the launch line ups on the other consoles can complete with what the Wii-U has, plus it will be cheaper. With the gamepad it actually offers something innovative and new.

The point is Nintendo need to be more forward thinking, and do more then they are....

Horses for courses... Pikmin 3 looks nice in places, but nothing too outstanding. Nintendo also need some variety, I'm failing to see a game directly from Nintendo that has an older, darker edge to it. I just think Nintendo need more range to their games, rather then one size fits all...
Personally, I'm happy having a device that makes Last of Us type stuff and one that does Pikmin type stuff.
I can't remember the last time I played a game like Pikmin on PS3 / 360.
