Christmas can't come soon enough.

My Zelda LE console is sat, already wrapped so I can't have a sneaky go, and I've asked for Mario 3D World & Rayman Legends as pressies from family.

I've already bought LEGO City with the mini-figure and Wonderful 101 which are sat, still sealed, waiting for December 25th.

That's complete overkill. I'm about 35 hours into TW101 and there's no way I'll be done before the 22nd. Why not just start playing it now? You will forcibly create a backlog for yourself trying to play all that at once.

My plan is to maybe save Mario and (even more of a maybe) LttP2 for Christmas as there's nothing coming out in December anyway.

Even just thinking about it, a full Pure Platinum scoreboard before the 25th seems very ambitious.

Bollocks. I've not even got Wind Waker yet. I had planned Mario and ZombiU playthroughs with my nieces but completely forgot about Zelda which they even requested for the next time I'm back. T_T

I'm also due a couple of weeks off early in the new year and I plan on doing nothing but play games and drink tea!

It's amazing but, since "leaving" GAME I have begun to enjoy playing video-games again. It's the reason that I am so excited by PS4 and cannot wait to get my hands on the machine.

Well then, this is a tricky one... As you know it's like Viewtiful Joe. The enemies will butt-f**k you (even on Easy, like they did with me) until you work out various methods on how to tackle them efficiently. Now that I'm playing on Hard I'm finding it even easier than Normal, which in turn I found easier and much more enjoyable than Easy.

Does that make sense? In other words, you probably won't enjoy it on your first run anywhere near as much as the proceeding runs. My Easy run was spent mostly looking at the continue screen.

I certianly respect your willpower, you are much more patient that me, i would really struggle to hold out until Xmas day. Infact i would caved within a week especially with Mario World out in a couple of weeks

Mario is my Christmas present this year, so I'm holding out too. I'll be due a second game but can't decide what.

I can totally relate with people who intentionally wait until Christmas, to be honest. Revives a bit of that Christmas magic and makes it all a bit more exciting.

Today's arrival is Wii Party U - this week's gaming night should be fun

Had a good go of a wiiU for the first time at the weekend at my local games store. It was really quiet in there so the guys behind the counter were good enough to give me some pre owned games to try on the demo pod, even opened it up for me.

First impressions, Jesus the controller is certainly chunky, like uber chunky, but super comfortable thanks to the rounded nature of the back grips, very nice. Controller screen was nice and bright, responsive to touch too, though not capacitive, missed opertunity there.

Games wise, W101 is certainly everything I thought it would be, beautifull to look at, quirky and unfathomably deep. Like it.

Zelda we looks simply stonking in HD, a worthy upgrade and I would deff go through it again.

Mario bros too looks lovely too in HD.

Pikmin looked great. Didn't play that very long, ten mins or so.

Media wise Netflix is covered which is all I watch now, no need for an DVD or blue ray player anymore.


?199 is a great price and after getting a good hour with it I'm sorely tempted by that offer.

I have to say, just from observing your posts and updates it does show you are enjoying gaming more these days. Is it because you don't have to be enthusiastic about releases and consoles that you don't care about?

Wind Waker HD has gone away for Christmas, as will Mario 3D World and Link Between Worlds when they arrive.
