Personally I used the Pro Controller whenever possible. Outside of ZombiU, which wasn't exactly innovative, I only used the GamePad for eShop purchasing and watching Netflix. NBA2K13 had a novel X-ray thing going on, but otherwise there is no actual need for the GamePad IMO. Including Wii compatibility has only confused things even more what with having to have different controllers for all of the different games available. Wii U with a standard controller only would be awesome I reckon. The Pro Controller is one of the best I've ever used too.Kept you waiting, huh?

Nintendo only have themselves to blame for this with the poor branding and advertising of the console, not to mention any good ideas what so ever on what to actually do with the screen that will be of positive use to gamers.

If i'm paying top dollar, and get an inferior product(however you want to play it down, or dress it up) then dont expect people to be beaming happy.Last edited by PaTaito; 12-12-2013, 17:49.

If ?5.49 is top dollar to you then you really do have bigger problems in your life than 50hz Virtual Console releases.
Forgetting for a second how ridiculous that statement is and dignifying it with a response... You could MAYBE get a cart-only PAL LTTP for ?5.49, my reasonably conditioned boxed PAL version ended up selling for ?112 on eBay earlier in the year, I didn't pay far off that for a perfect specimen here. And that comparison is forgetting the fact you'd have to have enough interest in SNES games to source a working SNES console and a decent cable (even then it probably wouldn't look this good on a modern TV).

Saying buying it on the snes will cost X, is utterly moot...as joe so rightly said, i could download the rom for free...but we are not talking about the original cart version, nor the pc rom, but the WiiU release.
And while i agree cost shouldnt come into it, Its still makes it a double slap in the face no matter how you look at it, we pay more for something that is not as good.
Simple facts.Last edited by PaTaito; 12-12-2013, 21:45.

And no, it's not free on PC/other formats, it's stealing... You're also wrongly assuming all Nintendo customers have a gaming PC, I have a 15" Retina MacBook Pro that could easily run a SNES emulator and make a US LTTP ROM look as good as it ever could, yet I don't because it's not the seamless experience of a Wii U. Forgetting the illegality/dishonesty it's highly impractical to game on a PC/Laptop and as I say, I have a computer to do it, most people I know my age and younger don't even have PCs anymore they just have iPads/iPhones or similar tablets and smartphones. I can also guarantee the majority of Nintendo customers don't even know the difference with 50hz/60hz. You're dictating a company who serves millions of customers tailor their policy to yourself, who represents a minority of people who can and will just download it all freely for gaming PCs/emulators on softmodded consoles or who simply prefer the original release on the original hardware.
If you don't want 50hz VC, don't buy it, but don't be ridiculous and make out like this is some abomination, all but 4 games on VC are US releases and I've been playing this one earlier today, it's excellent, nothing at all strikes me as wrong or detracts from the experience... And I'm not some ignorant philistine, I know all the PAL/NTSC issues, let's just keep some perspective and stop being a spoil sport? Link to the Past is outstanding however it comes.Last edited by Pikate; 12-12-2013, 22:43.
