There are certainly rumors around that XBox One really isn't ready. But they're just rumors til proven otherwise.
I shall certainly look forward to Digital Foundry's analysis of the launch titles. Popcorn time!

Cool stuff, will have to post some impressions from the games.
Went to xbox one lock In and they had some pizza and soft drink, wasn't a bad little night.
Very different games for PS4 though, least Knack is there and Octodad for the giggles.

Just got back from the PS4 lock in event at Game. I weren't expecting much as there were no decent games on show but it was nice get a go.

The controller is spot on. It feels like a perfect version of the DS3. The R2 and L2 triggers are more refined thanks to the curve in the trigger, so your fingers don't slip off. The D pad feels more satisfying to press so are more responsive, and the 'handles' on the controller feel better to hold.

The console looks as big as expected from the pictures we've all seen but it was in a pod.

As for games there we're only Fifa and Knack worth playing and knack was an early demo code which was a bit choppy on the framerate at times. It was nothing exciting, just a run, jump, hack and slash.

Fifa was actually decent. The 3D crowd is impressive and all react differently. The graphics on the pitch and players looked to only be a slight improvement but I did notice more animation in the gameplay which I liked.

It just needed something like BF4 there to show off some eye candy.

Strange, I wonder if Microsoft are putting a hold on reviews until after launch because of the reported/guessed/estimated/made up differences between both the new consoles?

Do you know what, I doubt it.

Although avoiding reviews may help them on launch day if things are a different as do many are suggesting they can't afford to do something like that in the long run. I think it would likely do more damage than good.

It's probably something less sinister and a bit daft like Live not being ready or something like that.

Although the 720p/1080p stuff has as good as been confirmed now (Sony's Adam Boyes has the PS4 version runs natively at 1080p and Microsoft have said it's not their game so they wouldn't know and people should ask the publisher and Infinity Ward not being willing to comment) I'm not sure how much of a difference that would make to people.

Actually, maybe it would at launch because of the type of people who usually buy launch consoles.

I think maybe the real disappointment for people could be that after months of developers leaking that the difference would be 900p v 1080p in cross platform games that the difference has actually ended up being more than expected. I can't imagine Activision would let them but i'm sure Sony would love to have stickers on the PS4 game cover saying "1080p & 60fps Console Exclusive to PS4" or some such crap I don't think it would help Activision.

It'll be quite interesting to see comparisons on Digital Foundry even if they aren't allowed to do them until after launch.

He's probably just trying to stir up more followers. Sure we'll see Ps4 stuff first, it's out first. Add a week to his timeframe andthe XBO stuff will hit hard because of the simultaneous launch.
