Both the PS4 and XBox One have 5400rpm regular drives. Thankfully the PS4 internal drive can be upgraded.
You can get 1TB Hybrid-SSD drives for ?91. Would blow the socks off of the default drive in terms of speed. Whether or not it's worth the extra over a regular drive is another matter, however.

If you are buying new HDDs remember that it has to be smaller than 9.5mm thick, which some of the bigger ones aren't.
