I'm not to bothered by the grinding,I'm more worried how game breaking micro transactions are going to get.I know FORZA 4 had them with tokens but now this and GT6 confirming them are Sony and MS determined to kill the console gaming market

It's one of the highest rated retail game on metacritic for either system.

the Forza scores have suprised me i was expecting this to be a safe bet. But there's mixed or bad reviews across all the next gen exclusives launch titles Killzone, Forza, Dead Rising 3, Nack, Crimson Dragon ect

Aren't the Microtransactions just used to buy cars instead of unlocking them in career mode?
I don't see why they would need to give them points.

I don know how they could effectively review a title if they weren't constrained by the structure of the campaign.

Read a couple of reviews and even with calm expectations the game sounds like a disappointment despite the more generous scores. Games like GT and FM are easy to tire of if the grind gets too much and between the low track count, drivatars and clearly skewed microtransaction progress it seems FM5 is likely to be a heavy offender. I'm sure I'll enjoy it for a while till it gets old but it feels like the wait for a true next gen racer continues.

It is a concerning trend, right now It has felt very optional in all games I've played that feature them (outside of genuine F2P games), the temptation for publishers is just to make in game XP or Credit take longer to obtain or increase the thread hold for the next unlock.

It seems to be getting solid 9/10s everywhere else, in fairness.
It seems quite mixed actually. But a good solid 9/10 from Polygon so that was good. (I think Polygon have shown that the hype of the PS4 launch didn't stop them marking down games like Killzone that didn't do anything "New". So one assumes Forza has some good new features.)

The proof will be felt this Friday, still not disappointed as I knew both consoles didn't have that killer app but there will be some enjoyable hours on both systems

Sarcasm, it has new micro-transactions, you could speculate that a site that's bankrolled by Microsoft might be quite pleased by them having new Avenues of income

Eurogamer reviews says nothing is unlocked...everything is purchased with credits.

Another solid XBOX One game, and this is only the beginning!

                          Another review for Forza.

XCN never seem to provide codes even when companies were doing online passes or anything else other than the game discs or codes (we got Rocksmith 2014 in without the cable). We did get an offer to review some F2P RPG game at Console Monster which provided a certain amount of credit, no idea if this is the same with the larger traffic sites mind.
