full paragraph acording to euro-gamer theirs no way to play your own video files on the one, IVE searched the net and nothing had been announced about its video playback support it could be a feature coming later but yeah it looks like its in the same boat as the ps4 at launch.

Can it show photos? I use the 360 to stream photos to the TV. I use this A LOT.

Yeah it can. Only via Skydrive from what I've read but apparently it works well.

Time for a media PC Charles. I did that this summer and am now in the blissful position of not caring whether PS4 or XBox can do any media stuff at all. They're just game consoles to me now. It's refreshing!

All in one, except for TV integration (outside of US) and media streaming. In fact it offers less than the 360 or PS3 did.

I have a PC already (with all the media and backupdrives), although it's not near the TV. Are you saying you got another PC just for media?

Yeah. Really it was just a flac player with a foobar 2000 controller on my phone but now I have vlc on there as well. works really well. Can be done quite cheap if you have a few pc bits lying around although I splashed out a fair bit in the end.

The Xbox One does support DNLA so you would be able to stream videos from your PC or media server, you would have to tell the PC to play it on the Xbox though.

It is annoying neither machine had it built in, fortunately my new PVR supports it all and that is being plugged into the Xbox One.

UK guy form videogamer tv using kinect voice commands and showing how things work all looks very snappy but as feared kinect still seems to take a few try's to get it to do what you want pretty much like old kinect then

Well thats interesting because if you watch the video on CVG it works just brilliantly with no delays or having commands needing to be repeated. Maybe its something to do with the accent?

do you have a link to the vid? is it a uk or an American demoing it? this is one of the first vids ive seen of some one from the UK using it, this has the day one patch installed and is up to date and he also re dose the the kinect set up in the vid.



the two difference is the CVG guy is speaking very clearly where as the Videogamertv guy has a bit more of an accent and try's it with the sound on the tv up too

If you scroll down there is about 2mins worth of video of a UK CVG reviwer using voice controlls and it works perfetcly. Im certain it must be the accent Kinect stuggles with, the way he says home for example, sounds like he is saying hme if you get me.

Can you train it to recognise you saying "Xbone" as Xbox? Would make for amusing videos.
