I don't think with game reviewers 5 is a yes, more a minimum standard.

< 3 = "under no circumstances buy this"
3 - 5 = "we warned you"
6 - 7 = "if you're a fan of the franchise/genre go ahead"
> 8 = "you should buy this"

In a way I agree, but

10 = worth trying even if you don't normally like the genre, as this might convert you!

Anyway, Ryse has been a flop, end of story. Still looks pretty.

some of the combos did look quite cool the double takedown he dose looked ace, its defiantly a roman batman combat wise if i was getting an xbox one at launch id certainly want to play through this but it probaly would be taken back to the store to trade pretty quick, its a weekends worth of play by the sounds of it is a showpiece game just a real shame its so shallow look out for the preowned sections of game to be full of this in the coming weeks.

You're probably right, I'm just a bit Wii U obsessed at the minute and Wii U 8 and 9s include Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, Super Mario 3D World and NSMBU.

That does remind I should probably read up on Mass Effect 3 which is a 10 everywhere and I'm not even sure what it is (also I hate coming into a franchise at part 2/3 etc). I'm really glad the "Next Gen" seems to be embracing the idea of new franchises or spin-offs rather than more direct sequels.

CEX give ?36 for Ryse. Sure they'll give decent money for all PS4/Xbone releases while demand is high this side of Christmas.

It's odd because the combat system in Ryse is exactly the same as some other games. They were even mentioned on the stream the games, think Batman and LOTR. The only issue is because they have been implemented already Ryse is taking a bit of a battering because of it.

I still really want to buy it as Dynasty Warrior games have been rated higher than Ryse and they have the most monotonous combat system to date!

Away from ryse does anyone know the 4k status of xboxone, I know the cable is certified 4k hdmi, so can we assume that in the future we will see use of 4 k , I assume we will further updates

Major nelson used Sonys 4k TV to demo the Xbox standby boot so I assume it's fine.

I just ordered zelda on 3ds and checked my shopto account for it, and there's a big banner on accounts about x box one, tracking will be late this evening, they must be getting peeved off with questions I reckon.

Lol if they are peeved with questions today just wait until the **** hits the fan tomorrow when delivery's fail to turn up. Not to sound selfish or anything but it had better not be mine or there will be hell to pay

That was probably just the TV scaling from 1080p to 4k.

There is very little in the way of 4k video content out there and I can't see netflix offering 4k anytime soon
