I know this has been covered before on the forum but the subject came up in my mind again today. Although I'm aware there are many on the forum who're opting for either the Xbox One and/or the PS4 upon launch, how many of us are sticking with what the current gen has to offer atm/ for the year ahead?
Thinking back on the transitions between generations, PS1/Saturn to PS2/Dreamcast felt really significant. The jump to PS3/Xbox 360 was again a nice step up, albeit quicker (?) than the previous gen. Are we truly ready for the generations to be updated again or will any of us be sitting pretty by the likes of Lords of Shadow 2, Dark Souls 2, FFXIII Lightning Returns, Tales of Xillia 2, The Evil Within, Assassin's Creed Liberation HD, Thief, Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma and whatever else may be on the schedule?
Opinions welcome if you care and are waiting for things to warm up again in late Spring like myself to take the plunge with next-gen, or alternatively don't give a damn and are going to be there for both releases from launch day.
