Yeah, I went out yesterday and today to get some games and wiimotes but there was hardly anything anywhere.

Local game had the chart but most games missing and the pre-owned section was half a shelve. Tesco stocked around 3 games MK8 out of stock, Sonic and Just Dance. Local Asda doesn't stock anything wii u related and even the two CEXs had very little stock wise.

Until now, nobody has wanted one.

And sadly one big release won't incline supermarkets to give back the shelf space.

Which is a real shame as mario 3d world, and pikmin 3 were probably the greatest games of the last year.

Both my local tesco extra stores dont stock it at all now.

My local big Asda has stopped stocking Wii U stuff by April 2013, what about six months after launch. They didn't hang about at all.

arcnas you're right, be interesting to see the weekly sales figures when they're out next week to see how well MK8 has actually done.

Toys'r'us Norwich said they only had 14 copies in, and I grabbed the last one, that was at 2pm on Friday, so if all the other stores are stocking similar numbers then I expect the sales figures will be pretty pap.

I'm looking for a Wii U. A store nearby is selling Premium Packs for 225 euros, and the Zombi U bundle for less. The Mario Kart 8 pack, and a Mario pack are about 300 euros. They're all out. I guess MK8 is a system seller. Not really into the game but I feel like the Wii U, despite not having that many titles, is the current gen system to get at the moment. There are no killer titles on the competitive consoles.

edit: Yeah, it could be that stocks are low in general, as retailers don't expect Wii Us to sell well. I guess there'll be a small surge in sales but it'll go back to normal after this short period. I seriously hope not, but there simply isn't enough support for the Wii U on the software side.

Nothing to buy a PS4 yet for me, still enjoying the Wii U, Super Mario 3D, Zelda WW, Zombie U, NSMB, MK8, Pikmin, Wonderful 101 are things I am playing, 6 months worth of games there.
Buy that Zombie U bundle and MarioKart 8 and you can grab one of the others for free, reckon that is €270 well spent. NSMB and Super Mario 3D still seem to get good money over here, so maybe choose one of those as a freebie?

I definitely will when my next pay check arrives but so far they're out of stock on every unit. The cheaper bundles were very tempting but they were all out. Wasn't ready to pay 300e for the Mario+Luigi bundle.

I really want to play a Mario game. Can't get that vibe on the other systems. I fear, though, that I'll fire it up and get bored of it instantly.

You won't get bored of Mario 3D I wouldn't think, it really is a 'just one more level before bed' type game. Some things in there that can't stop you grinning like a 5 year old.

What surprised me more is that my local tescos don't even have anything 3DS. I guess Mario Kart might be a system seller but it doesn't help when the store only has 1 or 2 in stock, I guess it's not worth the risk.

So far I only have MK8 and Wind Waker HD. I have 2 ?10 Argos vouchers and ?26 CEX credit. What games can you guys recommend?

Also what's good for a 4 and 5 year old? Would New Super Mario Bros be easier then Super Mario 3D?

My son is 4.5. He loves Mario 3D and both Skylander Games (Giants and SwapForce). He also likes Need For Speed Most Wanted, LEGO City and Sonic Racing. NSMB is too hard for him.

NSMBU is the most hardcore Mario to date. I don't think it's suitable for most people of any age.
