I'm considering a WiiU now that Project Zero 5 has been announced as a WiiU-exclusive. Is there any difference between the 8GB basic and 32GB premium machines aside from the storage size and colour? The 8GB machine is significantly cheaper in Japan and I have an external drive handy, seems like a better idea.

Just go with the basic one. A 32GB "Deluxe" will hardly go far if you are downloading anyway.

Wish Evolution went for 720@60 for Drive Club even though I suspect it doesn't matter for that game. Mk8 keeps 60fps in 2 player split screen too (30fps for 3 and 4 player)

You dont get a couple of minor bits like the Wii sensor bar and the charging cradle and thats about it Shakey from what I remember.

And the whole premium membership thing that gives you points for what you spend on the store can use those points for free credit. Again, only really matters if you DL a lot.

Thanks. I already have a Wii, and only download if there is no other way to get a game, so it sounds like a basic is fine. I do have a 320GB USB drive anyway if needed.

Can't believe people are saying that Monster Hunter looks ****, I must need new glasses or something as I think it looks gorgeous, ok it's not the best looking wii u game but it's a huge step up over the 3DS and Wii versions.

Now I have proper access to a HD TV I've been playing a lot more of my Wii U, just finished Mario 3D world and have been alternating between Mon Hun, wonderful 101, Xenoblade and Advance Wars. In gaming heaven at the moment which isn't good as I've got a **** load of uni work that needs handing in over the next couple of weeks lol

Ah, depends what you're comparing ti to I guess. I've been playing PS4 games and only just got a WiiU, so to me Monster Hunter looks like total arse! Like the Wii game with at a higher resolution. Let's be honest, WiiU's tech specs are much closer to a PS3 than a PS4. Not hating on the WiiU though, ZombiU is ace and only really possible on WiiU - if you took the controller gubbins away it wouldn't be half as good.
