This is a pretty interesting info graphic, which shows the sales for software and consoles, pretty good attach rates for software all-round, 5 games sold per wiiu, 9 games per wii sold, while 3ds has 4 games per console sold,

Wow, check out gamecube attach rate. Almost 10:1!

Rumbles that Nintendo plans to release new consoles for emerging markets. Seems daft given they can barely support the ones they already have.

They have done it before with the N64 pad thing The iQue Player, i imagine a cheap retooled wii type thing would make sense for emerging markets as its easy money software is already there and the cost of the wii is penuts.

Some crappy Youtube vids don't tell **** about the actual games. Mario 3D World looks lush on a huge HD TV, as does Wind Waker HD and pretty much every other Nintendo game too.

And for the record, 3D World for example has more quality than 99% of the ****e put out today.

Wii U - nobody realises it's the Wii 2.

Mario 3D World - actually another game apparently and not a port.

I think in terms of current gen console gaming I'm definitely more in line with the general public now as I just use my psp and pc - I play on and on round friends on ps3. ps4 etc.

Is the fact I was unaware of this yet played mario up until super mario galaxy 2 on the wii somewhat telling?

I've been having a battle in the man-cave of my mind whether or not to get a Wii U.

The pros:

- Nintendo! (Usually..) raw gaming essence. It's a genre.

- HD on-screen and off-screen play

The cons:

I've had once since launch and I'm of the opinion that yes its dying from a 3rd party point of view. But we do have some good Nintendo games to come which is why I won't get rid of it, and we have had some cracking ones so far.

Top of my head if you want to play (Exclusives only)

Super Mario Bro U/Luigi U
Mario 3D World
Wonderful 101
Pikmin 3
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze
Zelda WW HD
Nintendo Land
ZombiU
MH3

Then with Mario Kart and Bayonetta (if it ever gets released), Smash Brothers it has some great content to come too.

Is 12 Games worth the price of the console? Thats up to your wallet!

The off screen stuff is awesome, Sonic Racing is made for it if you dont have it on another console.

No word on Metroid as far as I know. We do have a new Zelda coming but its called The Legend of Zelda Hyrule Warriors and is a Dynasty Warriors clone. :/
