No it hasn't. Skyward injected a fresh control scheme and Link Between Worlds was sublime.

Monster Hunter is not impressive. Sluggish and lazy graphics. The 3DS version impressed me much more.

Rayman is ?15 in game. New.

Try not to judge it on graphics or initial sluggish gameplay. It's simply a HD 3DS port. The learning curve for dishing out real pain is quite a long one, once you get to grips with your hunter (and respective gear upgrades) you'll be dishing out obscene amounts of damage whilst diving and darting about the place.

It's the finest form of digital cocaine currently available on the console.

I wasn't judging the actual game,more the quality of the port. I should have made that clear.

However I do think the game isn't great based on the original Wii version which I have. It's just boring and I never feel connected to what is happening on screen.

What I'd like is the ability to launch all games from the main menu. I don't want to have to go into Wii mode to play the VC games or disc games for that system.

Seems a little pedantic but it would streamline things.

I got MH as my free game. It sits waiting as MK8 is glued in. Had a quick go... Same old gem, but in "HD". Can't wait to get my first Jaggi wares.

Seriously pondering what weapon to use though. Used Bowgun in last game... Any recommendations?

All of them? I started with switch axes with great swords as secondary, for my first venture into ranged I went with a bow (an OP cheaty one at that).

And yeah, as a port/conversion it stinks. I'd give that aspect a jelly-like 4/10. Try playing on the pad, you might find yourself more 'forgiving' as do I.

Got Zelda because I *know* i want it and will play it. Will get NSMBU at some point 2nd hand and if I don't like it I'll sell it. W101 was tempting but same reasons as NSMBU and also (I think) download was too big for my terrible connection.

I guess I'll look into getting Nintendo Land, Tank Tank Tank, Lego City and Super Mario 3D World and see what they think.

Was Game & Wario not good? I recall having a great time with Smooth Moves.

WiiU premium has come to the end of its production run in japan, to many unsold units or a new bigger HD WIIU on the way i guess we will find out via E3 in a couple of weeks.

I hope it's nothing big... I can imagine a lot of people would be annoyed if a new cheap redesign or something is announced in few days time.

They have had success in the past by redesigning products the DS phat to DS lite didn't change how it played but made the device a lot more desirable. A slimmer cooler looking tablet with a soft relaunch and tweaked name that doesn't confuse might ignite public interest in it.
