I never thought I'd ever see the day when a skinned Dynasty Warriors game became highly anticipated for a Nintendo console.

Game done changed (no pun intended).

I can't believe EA aren't even bothering to do a Fifa 15 port this year. You've got to worry how barren the lineup is going to be from now onward with no third party support.

          EA didn't port 14 either.

Next year Wii U will have the following exclusive titles:

            -Splatoon
            -Kirby
            -Yoshi's Woolly World
            -Mario Maker
            -Mario Party 10
            -Mario vs. Donkey Kong
            -New Star Fox
            -New Zelda
            -Xenoblade Chronicles X
            -Captain Toad

            So hardly barren.

Starfox hasn't even begun development proper yet, nor Zelda most likely so no chance of them. Hardly a compelling line up by anyone's standard.

Yup, I'd definitely rank Starfox and Zelda as having little chance of being 2015. Especially with how lap-se-daisy Nintendo is being. Both would strike me as a real 'Next Nintendo Console' risks. Despite the E3 showing I wouldn't place definite money on Xenoblade making it 2015 in western markets either. With the WiiU is simply is what it is at this point.

They are both stated for 2015 so until Nintendo say they aren't coming out then, they are coming out next year. And what, you think they haven't even started the development of Zelda? Skyward Sword came out in 2011, you think the Zelda team have just been scratching their balls for the last 3 years?

I agree that Zelda is nowhere near ready. If it was, we would have seen more than the cutscene we did at Nintendo direct.

The next "Iwata Asks" should be:

"What the **** have my development teams been doing for the past 3 years?"

Some good stuff on that list mind. I'll dust mine off as and when I need to. Particularly want Splatoon!

Xenoblade and Zelda is probably the only thing I want on that list.

Apart from that, Bayonetta 2. Already bought everything else I wanted for the console.

I honestly don't think development has been properly started on either, which is why I said it. If it had, miyamoto wouldn't of been playing in a test area with motion controls, and Zelda would have been played and not a rendered video.

If your pinning your hopes on a blockbuster release schedual next year your in for disappointment. As others have said, it is what it is now and that's the end of it for the wiiU.

The flavour of mk8 has worn off now, and as before i'm left with a ?200 doorstop with bugger all new stuff to play. Should have know better.....

I don't need "a blockbuster release schedule" for the Wii U, whatever that means. I know what's coming to the Wii U and I'm happy enough, I know what I'm getting. I don't have 12 hours to play video games/day anymore, so when I'll get an hour or two, I'll play something that I actually want, not what is "blockbuster" at the moment. Xenoblade alone is probably enough to keep me going for 6 months.

I'm happy with a couple of great, well designed games that I'll go back to over and over again, not disposable rubbish that you finish and never play again that most of the so-called "AAA blockbusters" are.

But the choice of having that is important. You may not enjoy those throwaway titles, but the option of playing them in a first party lull is important to a lot of people I think. Without that, it makes a bad impression of the console worse.
