With loads of other great games coming out soon, seems to be a good time to take the plunge and buy Wii U

Today Nintendo turns the ripe old age of 125. To celebrate they will be giving registered WiiU owners a free eshop copy of Super Smash Bros WiiU upon release.

Except putting out some excellent games this year and going to continue putting more excellent games out next year, you mean?

I really thought we'd get a free Smash for a second there

WiiU is all I'm playing at the moment. Heavily into Mario Kart online. What an absolutely blinding game. People who say it's too random and that it's unfair don't get it, the element of chance is part of the fun!

It's also probably the least random MK since the original, because of the balancing of the items and that you can only have one item at a time. Only people who cannot play it, complain that MK is a game of luck.

The items only really play any kind of influence if you can't split from the pack.

It's my favourite of the entire series. I had to stop playing unfortunately because my internet went arse.

True. With a group of similarly matched players it can be difficult to gain those killer leads though, and honestly it's kind of fairer when you don't anyway. Once you've split off from the pack you're practically invincible because you've got a wide open track and no one lobbing stuff at you. And all the coins you can eat, of course. That's always been the case though.

Nintendo dident forget about the 125 years, they just stuck up a soundtrack for kirby tripple deluxe on the Nintendo stars website let the celebrations commence.

poor sales for Bayonetta 2, 38,828 in its first week, the first game sold 200,000 over the same period and was considered a flop sales wise.

Hopefully we will see a game of the year version on the xbox one or PS4, I would love to play it but don't have a wiiu anymore.

Not surprised to be honest, even with the hype the first game wasn't a franchise juggernaut despite decent sales and the WiiU was always a bad fit in terms of audience size and type. The best approach to the game was always as a treat for fans given it was unlikely to have been made otherwise.

I'd be amazed if the game ever gets released on other formats given Nintendo's financial involvement or a third game is ever put together. It's certainly a lovely bonus that this entry exists at all though. However, I'm not going to be shocked if Platinum as a whole is no more come the end of the coming gen, their games just don't shift the numbers required.

Yeah I never understood this Bayonetta hype. It looks good, and might be a blast to play but ultimately it's a niche action title.

Nope that will never happen, like Superman Falls says. The fact that Nintendo helped fund Bayonetta 2 means there is problems if they jump to other consoles.

I see little chance of it going anywhere else. Seems to have rubbed people up the wrong way because it jumped to a Nintendo console but the fact is if Nintendo hadn't helped with funding the game wouldn't be out on anything.

It's never going to come out on PSbox. Nintendo published it. Buy a Wii U if you wanna play it guys. Lol.
