Is that so? I think I might have a look into it. People have been telling me to get one a lot recently.

Gamey PC games:
Devil may cry
Formula 1
Dark souls
Metal gear rising (soon)
Trine
Braid
Fez
Skyrim
Witcher 2
Batman
Portal
Chivalry
Saints row
The pixeljunk games
There's a fair bit basically. Possibly more than on any console given that there are no generations on PC as such. That said, there are also a lot of RTS fps and simulations.

Simply put because the PC is an open platform, there are more games released on PC and more indie developers on PC than on consoles. Many genres seen as console staples, such as as platformers for example, are now actually far more common place on PC these days. There's more diverse and interesting stuff released on a weekly basis on just Steam alone than most gamers would be able to keep up with.
It's consoles that have the more restricted selection of gameplay styles these days. Not saying there's anything wrong with that at all, but it's simply false to categorise the PC as nothing but FPS and simulation games.
If someone doesn't follow PC gaming then of course they're not going to know about the more interesting releases out there. Doesn't mean they don't exist though.

It looks pretty good, but you don't actually play any of them?
I'd probably just get one game and play it a lot like that World of Wizards or whatever it's called. Or Dark Soul's 2 with well good graphics. Can you do that? Buy loads of ROM and then it'll be well fast and that? Do Sony make them? What kind of control pads can you get?Kept you waiting, huh?

I have like 1600 hours of Tera since a year or so ago. But I don't use Steam for it. And no, I tend to just buy the ridiculously cheap bundles and get a ton of free games. I often just find new games that I don't recall buying added to my account too.
You can use Dual Shock 3 and Dual Shock 4 with some third party software hackery - though most stuff seems to support 360 pads natively. Final Fantasy XIV and Tera both support DS3 natively though.
I think Dark Souls 2 is coming out on PC the month after consoles or something? Hopefully they give it better PC treatment than the first game.
You could spend about ?1k on just your tower and get a pretty beastly PC. If you have a nice monitor too you could theoretically play games at 2560x1440@60 for example which is pretty great honestly.

Wait. I need to spend ?1000 on a tower? Isn't that just the box for it? Or do you mean the whole thing sans monitor? If I say like ?5k for everything, will that be good or is it too much? I only really want to play Dark Soul's 2 for now, and I don't want to buy another PS3 for one game.Last edited by J0e Musashi; 24-12-2013, 20:24.Kept you waiting, huh?
