Tekken Tag and Timespliter weren't launch games, but came months after the 1st hit retail ; that's my point there weren't that many great games for the PS2 the 1st time your or I could buy it (doesn't matter that we had to import it) . I dare say when the XBox 1 and PS4 hit Japan they'll have some better games ready . Timespliters came out some 15 odd months after the PS 2 came out. In the interest of fairness I bet you that a year down the line, the XBox 1 and PS4 will also have some very good games by then .

If you're going to judge the XBox 1 or PS4 by what games they had a month after they 1st hit retail , then do the same to the other consoles , and not try and count western launches some 12 to 18 months after the consoles in question 1st hit the market :P



These would be ? Other than HALO and NCL taking the piss with the N64 and Snes , most console launches have been pretty adverage or nothing anything better than whats on the XBox 1 . Mega Drive we had Super Thunderblade and Space Harrier 2, PC-Eng you had R-Type, Saturn you had Virtual Fighter, PS you had RR, Cube you had Monkeyball and at a push Luigi, DC you had VF 3Tb, 360 you had COD and PGR 3 , PS3 you had Motostorm at that's it

Good old TA deciding we have to go with the first available machine. Considering importing is a and always has been a tiny part of the market, I think like many others, I will ignore all of the above because it fits my personal criteria beautifully.

Both. Xbox One sales have taken a nosedive in our store, while we'll sell out of 200+ PS4s in ?500 bundles in a morning. People were queuing outside for PS4s the other day and came running into the shop when we opened. We sold less than ten Xbox Ones in the same day but we still have units delivered more often than PS4. It'd be the worst kind of inductive reasoning to suggest that this is typical of every retailer but Xbox One is being openly mocked by a lot of the customers it's being offered to.

Next gen hasn?t arrived for me yet. Big console wise I?m only playing rarely and I?m very happy with the Pirate Fest that is ACIV on my PS3, but my primary console of the moment is the 3DS, with Zelda, Animal Crossing, Bravely Default and Phoenix Wright I?ll be busy on that for a while yet. Plus the next console purchase for me will be a WiiU once Mario Kart comes out, it?s 100% guarantee for me I?ll make the jump for that, as well as the Smash Bros release next year! Maybe I?ll time it right to grab a PS4 slim if I wait long enough...

Its just being totally and utterly fair . You comparing XBox and PS4 launches to systems launches that came out months after those systems actually hit the market . If like the PS4 and XBox One The DC, PS, Saturn, PS2, Cube launched around the globe with in the same 2 to week period of the XBox One and PS 4.
No-one would be saying that are wonderful consoles with amazing launch line up's .
