I'm still happy with my 360 games I've still not played and I've just got a Wii u and a few games.
As most have said I'll pick one up when a game "I must have" comes out, probably the new trials game.

Love how neither machine has sweet f all coming out for it for months
Well I've been into gaming since I got my ZX Spectrum 128+ and new consoles/systems not having many new games coming out just after launch is nothing new at all . So why people have a go at the new systems is quite beyond me.

I love the irony of many people saying no need to move on from the 360 . I remember the 360 getting a bit of bashing on here for lack of any new games or games worth buying just a few weeks after its launch

I don't have an answer, but I get a sizeable trouser-stirring whenever my DS4 says 'Armageddon' to me at the end of a level in Resogun. Could that be the next-gen?

yes, i forgot it's Microsoft-exclusive, means PC and 360 as well. it's also very likely the Xbox One version will be 720p only. makes two reason less to purchase an Xbox One for playing Titanfall.

Is it that MS got loads more XBone's to retailers than Sony did PS4's? or the demand just isn't on the same level?

Genuine question as I see in GAME today, Xbone can be bought on it's own for ?429, yet cheapest PS4 bundle is ?579 - ?230 over solus price.

I don't own either yet by the way, will hold off until Easter I expect.

Which is why I waited until the Christmas of 2008 to buy one. Even then I had buyers remorse until I bought Bayonetta over a year later. Felt like a mistake with the lack of games that I cared about. Was still enjoying a rich PS2 library at the time though and was hammering CoD4 and CSS on PC.

A machine that had a dismal launch line up and where it took months for the good games to come out , very much like any major console really . So I just don't get why people think it should be any different with the XBox 1 or the PS 4

Some of the best games ever made were launch titles and many other extremely high quality ones too.

The difference now is that almost every launch game is a port so gives people plenty of reason to complain. Love or hate Ridge Racer V, Tekken Tag or Timesplitters, they were only on PS2.

Because it is an issue that can be improved on?

Accepting that it is a sad state of affairs in the past and thinking that there shouldn't be change is a bit hard to believe.

But again, I'm not going to adopt any hardware early unless it's a Nintendo handheld so of course I won't care for these new machines yet.

                        I wasn't no. Andromeda.

Also Tekken Tag, RRV and Timesplitters were all cracking games. Still are.

RRV is badass. The graphics are superb.
                          Kept you waiting, huh?

Those were mostly called dismal because they weren't a huge leap over the Dreamcast at the time. But fact of the matter is that there isn't a 3D fighter on DC that matches TTT. SC was brilliant ofcourse, but TTT I played for years.

Next-gen for me is not just the graphics. I can't go back to the Ps3 for reasons that have nothing to do with graphics, but mostly the Ps4 booting up everything much faster and doing lots of things in the background such as updates and installations. Its a MUCH slicker and more user friendly experience. The Ps3 is just painful in comparison. Vita remoteplay also shows this, it works at an instant and I have no lag in Resogun (except that its 30fps on Vita).

The Ps4 is lacking some apps though, Youtube would actually be nice because I did use it on Ps3 with my iPhone as keyboard.

I'd rather play PS2 than PS3 personally. Outside of the Soul's games, Killzone 2, OutRun Arcade and Dark Mist, there isn't a great deal that I like.

My most played games of this year were Ps2 ports. The fixed Zone of the Enders 2 HD (seriously, post Hexadrive patch its BETTER than Ps2), Kingdom Hearts 1.5, Soul Calibur 2 HD and a few others..
