Sega should lend Sonic to Nintendo to see if they can make a half decent Sonic game, his legacy of ****e games is so long now that it's kind of getting a bit sad for him.

I think the legacy of Sonic is ****e games now. You've got 10 years of decent games (I'm counting adventures despite the god awful 'friends' they added and the voice overs) and now nearly 14 years of utter dross.

The Sonic series is more **** than good since it's inception.

But Sonic Adventure isn't an outstanding game all-round. Neither is the sequel or Sonic Colors, for that matter.

I disagree. I think the Megadrive games are fantastic and I still enjoy playing them today.

There hasn't. The Adventure series was dreadful. The GBA and DS games were far too fast for the small screen IMO.

The only Sonic games I've warmed to since the original three are Secret Rings and Riders. Yet neither of which remain in my collection.

I didn't hate Generations. I realise that's not exactly glowing praise but given the disgust I have more many of the Sonic games around it, I found that not hating it was massive step up. My favourite Sonic thing in years has been Sonic Racing Transformed...

At the very least, Sonic 2 is arguably the best of the original MD/MCD-era games and an outstanding game.

I'm Mario > Sonic all day every day, but I consider Sonic 2 to be one of the finest platformers of the 16-bit era. It still holds up today.

Maybe the next Sonic game has you going back through time killing all the development teams that made the crap Sonic games, as you kill more people off, the timeline gets slowly restored and the game starts looking and playing better with each level, by the last level after you have removed all the ****e developers the game finishes with the most memorable& jaw dropping ending any Sonic game has ever seen.
