They must do, there's no way I could have collected that many myself. There were four of us and we did play it for 20 odd hours from Friday to Sunday in an epic celebration of MK.

When playing with the Classic Controller Pro it randomly behaves as though I've hit the home button on one of the controllers i.e. the game pauses. Anyone else experienced anything similar?

No. Using a Wii CCP and it's fine.

Hmm, so console or one of the controllers is faulty. Awesome.

It does occasionally ask you to select controller to use but that only seems to happen when I used to gamepad for something. Never in game and can play long periods with no issues.

It's not asking to select a controller though, it's as though you'd hit the home button. Forced to use the gamepad at moment which I can only do (for TT) for 30 minute before hand cramp.

Yeah sounds like you need to contact supplier or Nintendo. Apparently if the pad breaks or is faulty, the console is useless!

Never happens when I only use the pad. Most odd.

Apparently if I move the gamepad out of the Wii U range then I can turn the WiiU on and use just the classic controller without the pad turning on. So says the internet.

It's not a message thought mate. if you play the game and then in the middle of the game hit your home button. It does that, but without me hitting the home button anywhere.

Perhaps the home button is sticky.

Caved in and bought a wiiu for this - glad i did, fantastic bit of software and looks great

I have been out of the wiiu loop for a good while; can someone explain the basic steps to get playing against you guys online, add friends etc

There is a friends list button/option, you can add peeps through that. Just add some names mentioned in the leaderboards thread. Also add yourself to the leaderboards thread.
