Nice. A return to zombies it seems.

Yes, seems to be. I wonder what makes it particularly Revelations 2 rather than just another RE subtitle? Really hoping for a 3DS version but no mention yet.

Probably called Revelations because of the team making it are the same people that did the first Revelations. I think there is a different team for the main series.

Claire Redfield will be in the game as well as Barry Burtons daughter Moira Burton.

So will coop... Capcom uses 1 turn to strike my interest in this game - Critical Hit! Maximum Damage!

              They're so god damned clueless

                COOP is optional no?

Optional but the games design takes a big hit for its inclusion. It's one of the reasons RE5 and RE6 faltered. You're either in areas designed with the potential for two unscripted players in mind so its hard for the dev to create any real tension as they don't know where players will be in relation to each other or they try to second guess it like Capcom does by always having the second player in toe which means AI etc. That, and by taking Revelations down that route they're making it more like the main series and thereby missing what fans liked and wish about the series despite RE6's commercial troubles. Hopefully the game doesn't stray too much from the first one but the decision makes me suspect RE7 is doomed if Capcom thinks they're still on the right track

You raise some decent points Superman Falls. Was playing the first one today and when it doesn't try to be a run and gun action game RE Revelations is good at building atmosphere and tension (normally when there's little to no orchestrated music, just the sound of the natural environment and your character (even better in the parts of the game where you break off from your partner)).

They can keep the TV series-style format they went with in the Revelations 1 for this upcoming new entry but perhaps they could mix it up with different characters that go off on their own and intersect only in cutscenes or something? (like, y'know, the older games did really well?)

                    Just an idea Capcom...

Don't think this was mentioned before, cheaper than was expecting.

Capcom has announced a weekly release schedule for Resident Evil: Revelations 2, which will launch first in four individual episodes over the course of one month.

Each episode will cost $5.99 (about ?3.70) or you can buy a Season Pass covering the lot for $24.99 (about ?15.50).

A full, disc-based version will then launch after that, priced a little higher ($39.99, or about ?25). Exact UK pricing has yet to be confirmed.

Liking the price, not liking the episodic structure

It's a pants decision. I'll be going for the disc version, but I guess the episodic structure will remain.

Well the original had an episodic structure. As far as I can see, it's about the only thing that connects the two games. The trailer looks pretty run of the mill. I'd have gone for it on a handheld but it doesn't look like that will happen.

Agree the trailer looks bog standard, and very much last gen looking in parts... But ill take any Resident Evil action that is slightly related to the 'old skool style' these days...
