    Fortunately that looks very unlikely.

There's still the concern that they'll make a game which is playable with motion controls, but allow for stick controls too - and if the game is possible to complete with motion controls (and not maddeningly difficult) it'll potentially be a walkover with proper controls (anyone who has played an iOS racing game with a proper joypad knows what I mean).

Starfox on Wii U not demanding motion controls/Gamepad to play?

I'll believe it only when I see it. Simple as that.

This is an on-rails shooter though, depending on lots of pointing. Sin & Punishment 2 allowed both control methods and the Wii remote and nunchuck reigned superior in every department. The traditional controls were somewhat handicapped.

Surely not 4 on the bounce...

As for nintendo possibly only having starfox to show at E3, you suspect they will have another 4 HD remasters lined up to plug the gap.

One thing I will say - I would bite Nintendo's hand off for a remake of Mario 64 with the visual quality of Galaxy/Sunshine. I would honestly pay full-whack for it.

EDIT: As long as it isn't like the daft DS game, with all the extra **** bells-n-whistles that ruined it.

Didn't wind waker take nearly 2 years to remaster? Given Mario 64 would basically be a completely new game to remake I can't see them putting the work in, the sales just wouldn't pay for it.

Not that I wouldn't like to play it of course.

I'd rather see a HD rerelease of Sunshine in the vein of Windwaker.

In fact I've given up waiting and I'm going to play it via Nintendont (I don't have the PC hardware for Dolphin).

How? Did they just have one guy on it? HDing a game like that taking almost 2 years seems like a disaster. That could and should have gone into new Zelda.

I seem to remember a Nintendo Direct of the time saying that it took around six months to remaster Windwaker, but I could be wrong in all honesty.

Six months sounds far more reasonable.

My bad if I was wrong, had it in my head I read an interview somewhere it was 2 years, was to do with the aspect ratio and having to re do the camera and assets because of 16:9.

A sunshine remaster would look glorious in hd and given the same treatment wind waker had. All those amazing colours

For me, Sunshine would need a complete camera overhaul before I'd consider going for it again. Went to replay it a couple of months ago and the camera is pants. And actually I think the game is mediocre next to 64 or Galaxy. But then that seemed to be the general feeling on Wind Waker until it was the only Zelda on the Wii U and that caused much excitement.

Well they spent 10 odd years on Majora's Mask 3D, so I find it credible that it took 2 years to do Windwaker. Without knowing the size of the team it's not a particularly clear indication of anything though. We all know Nintendo spend years and years gestating on various things that never even come to fruition anyway.
