You cant use sd cards for storage apart from in wii mode, which is stupid as their reliable now days and go quite high, but anyway.
    USB sticks are fine.
    External harddrives are fine.

Beware though if your planning on installing smash bros from the store onto it and using the GC adapter, the adapter uses up both usb ports so you would have to take the usb stick or hard drive out.

Has anyone tried the official extended battery? I picked one up today on an impulse but not sure if it makes much difference?

For the wiiU gamepad? Mine lasts about 5-6 hours with the extended battery playing fully on the gamepad. Never used the original so can't compare them.

Still no Smash Bros from ShopTo.

Seems they've had issues with Persona Q as well.

We'll see if Smash arrives on Monday and if not might start looking for a new retailer to shop with.

Thanks guys, yes for the gamepad. It was quite expenisve here, about 25 quid, but couldn't face the idea of the gamepad battery lasting only 3 hours...

No problem, this has been a public announcement on behalf of the retarded nintendo accessory department.

Just as an update on my situation - Super Smash Bros. with GC Adapter & the GameCube Controller turned up last Monday from the official Nintendo store (interestingly the DPD delivery notice had 'from The Hut' so I assume Nintendo outsourced the running of their UK store.

Glad I took quick action because the game and adapter appear to be in short supply and I noticed today there are nearly 100 one-star reviews from buyers who have now had their order cancelled this week! http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00O9QW4HS

Despite my best arguments with Amazon, the best gesture they were prepared to offer was 20% refund on the order but only on the items not cancelled. So 20% off the two Amiibo's. So in total I received back ?6.20 (although including a separate ?1.25 for Yoshi's delivery but who turned up on time) and a ?3 voucher for future use. Personally I think that's pretty insulting given the amount I spend with them. Ultimately it might not be their fault but they as the retailer should offer meaningful refunds or gesture of goodwill to customers affected.

Anyway future lesson on pre-orders for (truly) limited game editions. Starting to think it's safer to use the publishers direct retail store and keep a close eye on orders and move quickly if needs be.

There's a rumour, seemingly, that Nintendo have informed Amazon etc. that the pad adaptor was a limited run, and they will not be making any more - so the message is if you don't have one now, either pay daft eBay prices or just live with it.

I'm hoping that's not true, because if it is, it's ****.

EDIT: Also, to all those people selling Wavebird pads without receivers on eBay - can you, y'know, stop that? They're useless except to about 5 people in the world who might have a receiver without a pad. There seem to be dozens listed right now.

That's so typically Nintendo that I bet it is true.

Remember "no business has ever gone under by having too little stock"?
