Yep. Wii version. It was completed, and then shelved.

Curious as to how the publisher thinks it will do better now on a system with less than 6 mill install base vs the wii that had over 100 mill.

Maybe it will based on the type of gamers that own the system vs mainly casual non buyers of the wii.

Thanks for your feedback, gents. I was curious about WiiU ownership in relation to which other gaming options they have and it sounds like, although there are fewer current-gen combos than I thought, nobody has a WiiU exclusively.

You asked for this gen, though - and I have the WiiU exclusively this gen.

On a forum like this, I imagine no-one only owns a WiiU because I doubt anyone here only owns one gaming machine; I mean how many of us have a Dreamcast in the loft etc?

Sorry, just musing over the responses, Asura. I did ask about this gen and everybody who replied added they had a different platform, so was just commenting on that, really.

It also lead me to thinking the same as you that I don't believe there are many on here that have just one gaming platform, if anyone!

Re rodea, is the naka version an actual wii disk, ie only works in wii mode with wii more and nun chuck?

Yeah, it comes in a separate DVD case in a Wii/WiiU double-pack.

Bit dubious, that one. For a start, it's the Wii part of the Wii U that's "hackable", in that you can install the Homebrew channel. Nothing you can't do on a vanilla Wii.

The author also seems to advocate piracy as a reason to buy one: "And if you have stored any old games on a USB stick, the Homebrew Channel can help you play those games, too." Hmm.

My main reason for holding back on the Wii U is the hacking issue. I have Fatal Frame 4 set up on my existing Wii with the translation patch installed,also Zangeki no Reginleiv,which I love a bit of every now and then and some other imports,all of which I'd like to play on the Wii rather than have two consoles taking up space. Is it easy enough to do withot the danger of a brick?

I have my wii u on top of my wii. It hardly takes up any more space!
