I'm bailing. GameSpot have stated a crap thin plot and characters, plus some quests with random item drops that are needed to progress.

I like a reason to explore, not just because it's yet another huge game. Hope you all enjoy it though.

Have mine coming tomorrow, and i'm well hyped...

Last jrpg i finished proper was final fantasy XII way back on ps2, i just haven't felt like investing the required time until now. This last six months i've had a serious itch for a decent jrpg and i'm hoping between this and disgaea 5 i'm sorted.

God i hope it lives up to the reviews.

Forgot I preordered it and was poised to cancel last week, then noticed I got in early enough that I'll only be paying ?30... reviews being overwhelmingly positive have convinced me to stick with it and maybe try and make a dent in it over some (long overdue) time off over Christmas. Always thought it looked great from the trailers, and whereas I'm assured it's great, N3DS Xenoblade just isn't inspiring me to slog on through when this one looks like it with the volume turned up.
