JazzFunk would have to find a second job or else we'd all be deprived of his creativity in circumventing the swear filter. Please don't!

So far I'm still somewhat surprised how, barring a light touch of ray tracing here and there, how any next-gen game from any company could be considered to look next-gen based on the trailers. All of them look resolutely current gen and barring the smoothness (because the hardware can obviously push current gen games at a smoother rate) largely don't look as good as the best current gen has offered.

It's the same old point of the cross-gen phase etc but ultimately yes, making your opening salvo a line up of pretty standard looking indie and third party efforts is not the best way to win the PR battle.

Pachter and Moore think MS will wait till Sony announces the PS5 RRP and then undercut it by up to $100. Pretty much what Sony does so we could get very late in the waiting game till either of them locks down a price.

This is going to turn into an expensive game of chicken.

The day of release is going to be like walking into a Bazaar.

Ubisoft just confirmed that AC Valhalla will only be running at 30fps on next gen, well confirmed 30fps on SeriesX so we can safely assume same on PS5.

Honestly this is absolutely crap news and isn’t good enough from ubisoft.

But... but the extra flops!?!
Seriously, either Ubisoft is rushing the enhancement out or things like the systems version of ray tracing etc are more demanding than was expected. Still, good to set the standard for what was always going be the norm good and early.

Edit-Just read on Era the game apparently doesn't deploy any ray tracing so... ugh, hopefully a rushed port

Thats with NO ray tracing either.

Has to be rushed. It'd be disappointing to most if the Xbox One X version didn't do 4K, 30fps

It's fair to say it's not going to be a console seller then.

It's disappointing but not surprising. There's no way that isn't just a case of poor optimisation... Hardly means everything that comes after is the same.

Console launches need incredible looking games though. Kill zone on PS4 is a crap game but it looked amazing. I’m not sure what my point is here. Perhaps it’s do you want to be disappointed before or after you buy your new console?
