Well timed, Nintendo has said that it considers the Switch to be at the midpoint of its life cycle. Presumably 10yrs is indeed the aim making 2025 look the more likely year for hardware movement.
After a busy period of acquisition announcements from both Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo has been asked whether it too p…
And they also have no interest in acquiring other companies

But here we are. Nintendo appear to have caught the same lightning in a bottle that they did for the Wii.

Very, very possibly nonsense. The rumour here is that a Nintendo Direct will be held on 16 February 2022 during which Nintendo will reveal Mario Kart 9
There's also a less backed up claim that the 4k supporting Nintendo Switch 2 will launch late this year alongside Breath of the Wild II. Still not sure what a WiiU looking game needs a 4K system for as to why that rumour ever persists. The initial rumour feels like it loses credibility when it says the twist in MK9 will revolve around gyro. Unless it means gyrocopter flight racing or some such then gyro controls in a handheld would be dumb.

I'm sure Nintendo will destroy their best selling system by announcing new hardware that probably no fab has enough time to manufacture.
Spinning up production of consoles could take years, between electronics, plastics, packaging, etc. in normal conditions, right now it's basically suicide.
I can believe a MK9 with release within the summer, with BotW 2 for winter holidays.

I'd absolutely love to see Mario Kart 9 but I don't believe any of that post. The stuff about Switch 2 launching this year, in particular, is 'my uncle works at Nintendo' level nonsense. We are years away from a Switch successor, there is zero need since the Switch sells very well and has adequate power to deliver Nintendo first party software. Not to mention that as Briareos mentions above, it's literally the worst time possible to begin mass manufacture of a new console.

And I don't mind getting shilled AGAIN on this one
Fixed that for you.
