I think it's because of how they seemed to look more Mario Kart Tour than Mario Kart 8. It's like the SNES track in the main game where half the track elevates up into the air at the start, or the other one with the broken boards over water etc. These seem much more straightforward and empty but ultimately more is more.
Whilst we're at it, I'm surprised there are no new racers or karts etc too as when it comes to all the merchandising that's done on the game that's its bread and butter

I was able to catch up tot his during lunch break. A lot of games, with some surprises, but also a lot of "don't care"s...quick rundown:
What I'll get for sure
Advance Wars 1+2 (also, nice birthday present)
Splatoon 3 (didn't expect it so soon)
Front Mission
SD Gundam Battle Alliance
Xenosaga Chronicles 3
The maybes
Kirby (this looks like what Balan Wonderworld should have been)
Klonoa (hopefully this will lead to a new game though)
Triangle Strategy (will try demo as see what comes out of it)
GetsuFumaDen (will have to read reviews)
The don't care group
FE Warriors Three Hopes
No Man's Sky
Mario Strikers
Disney Racer
SW The Force Unleashed
Assassin's Creed
Chrono Cross
That baseball game
Kingdom Hearts
Portal
Live A Live
Switch Sports
Taiko no Tatsujin
Cuphead DLC
Earthbound + Earthbound Beginnings (at least if they keep them on the online membership)
Kimetsu No Yaiba
LEGO Brawls
Two Point Campus
Mario Kart 8 DLC (they could have thrown a few tracks fo free but I guess they know that a lot of the MK8 playerbase will just gobble this up, and...till the end of 2023? No MK9, then)

Also, Dark Souls runs better on Switch than X360/PS3, the console is at least as powerful as those.

I seem to remember it being a disappointment because people really wanted a Wii game where you wielded a lightsaber like in modern VR titles like Vader Immortal, but naturally the game didn't deliver that and LucasArts never gave the impression it would be like that. Though Red Steel 2 did that pretty well on Wii.

Well I’ve been playing Exhumed and it is fantastic on the Switch. Smooth and has gyro aiming by default and it works perfectly. Ran through a few levels and it’s as good as it ever was. Weird seeing both the spider things and the scorpions together though. They say it’s the PS1 version and Saturn mixed. I have a feeling that the level design is the PS1 version, at least from what I’ve played so far but I’d be interested to see a breakdown. How the bombs work will tell me a lot.
