Yeah, plus I bet most of it is small, contained arenas with fixed camera angles - it's unlikely to be a relatively demanding free roamer like Mario Odyssey etc.

Fully agree that it's a sign that the current hardware isn't going anywhere and that they're looking for ways to extend its life further, rather than an indicator that new hardware is coming any time soon.

Are Nvidia/Nintendo in any real position to start pumping out a new line of mobile chip?

I think the short answer to that is probably no. The slightly longer answer being no, and why would they even bother?

I'm never sure why people (not here but elsewhere) are always whipping themselves into such a lather over the idea of a Switch Pro, Switch 2, etc. It has never felt remotely likely to me that anything like that is imminent. It would be completely against Nintendo's usual playbook, beset with manufacturing challenges due to all the manufacturing and supply issues currently, and entirely unnecessary considering the Switch still sells gangbusters and is completely adequate for the type of games Nintendo make.

Needless to say we will get a Switch successor down the line, and I'm sure it's something being worked on at Nintendo, but it's years away.

No and no. Im sure Nintendo would go back to the original gameboy chip if they thought they could get away with it.

Mon-Yu, a dungeon crawler originally released for Switch on August 2021 will reach western shores on PC and Switch...in 2023.
The late release is probaly due to get the Japanese title translated: Mon-Yu is the shortened form of "Monster wo Tao****e Tsuyoi Ken ya Yoroi wo Te ni Shinasai. Shindemo Akiramezu ni Tsuyoku Narinasai. Yuusha Tai ga Maou wo Taosu Sono Hi wo Shinjiteimasu".

And then you'd moan about Era calling it a success and that it couldn't possibly be one until it equals the total number of combined sales of Urban Champion, Game & Watch, Wild Gunman cabinets, Playchoice-10s, etc...!

I can't wait to hear the usual suspects on here (and elsewhere in the Nintendo Defense Force-Verse) pipe up to try and defend them.

If you hack your 3DS you can download games directly to it using the 3DS camera to scan a QR code on a website on your phone. That's pretty good.

Indeed. No other video game company is quite as 'preserved' as Nintendo, despite them trying their level best at gatekeeping. The much-fabled 'Nintendo Ninjas' can only do so much.

I'm more concerned about preserving the hardware rather than the software. Especially the batteries.

If and when such points are made, argue them.

Preemptive name-calling is childish and bullyish. Also, no, adding a smiley to the end of such posts doesn't make them any less unpleasant.

How about you mind your own business? You're not an admin.

I'll make whatever posts on here that I damn well please, as and when I make them.

                                Concentrate on your own posts.
