Twisted Metal was decent fun and was particularly interesting as an early 3D era game thanks to its open environments, secrets etc.
Twisted Metal 2 was a brilliant follow up, expanded everything really well even if age has haggered it too much
I'm kind of amazed the franchise survived Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4 which are more curio's that prove the first two games strengths than anything else
Twisted Metal Black was just a really good continuation of what TM2 had laid out, even with the cuts that some versions suffered.
The PS3 entry was poor. The thing is, the idea behind the game is quite decent and would be a pretty unique online MP game. The trouble is that it realistically needs to break from the gameplay style of the older entries and play much more modern, it also needs an image update because that 90's grungy style doesn't work anymore. I hope Sony nails it, it's more a worry that this is being pushed to meet the TV series debut.Comment

Well, the developer of Destruction All-Stars would have been an obvious choice for a Twisted Metal reboot, if it wasn't for the fact that Destruction All-Stars was unfortunately a really quite terrible game. So it's most likely a good thing Sony have transferred the project to someone else.
I always kind of struggle with vehicular deathmatch games. I'd rather be more nimbly running round on foot, rather than steering a vehicle. It feels like playing an FPS with one hand tied behind your back.
Not to say it couldn't be done well of course. I just don't think I've ever played one I've particularly enjoyed.Comment

Seems Sony is removing all point of sale PS Now cards in the UK, in preparation for the new Spartacus replacement service.
Apparently they did this in the US a week or so ago? I guess the new service is rolling out pretty soon then. In time for the Feb State of Play?Comment

I wonder if Sony's new Plus/Now Sparticus thing could be a way for PS4 users to play cloud based PS5 games. With the lack of PS5 consoles, that could see a surge in PS4 usage/wants.Comment

There are some ps3 games popping up on the ps5 store.
This has happened in the past as a glitch, were it's shown PSnow games, however this time the games being found are not on PSnow.
I suspect its still a glitch, but many say its a slip up of the new Ps+ subscription.Comment
