At least here with Uncharted 4 I can tone down the motion blur and make the camera pan a bit quicker. It still feels like everything is in slow motion though.

I was the exact same playing Control. I tried the ray tracing mode on that and it was horrific.
Control has some weird frame pacing issues or something. It's definitely the worst 30fps I've seen. Shame because the RT is really nice. Just needed a patch to fix it I think.

I wouldn't mind if companies followed the trend set by insomniac with the mixed 45fps ray tracing mode.

I've not played Miles Morales or Ratchet and Clank but looking at the technical analysis it seems like a healthy compromise that doesn't sacrifice too much in either camp.

30fps though... to me its old school now and if it does exist it needs to be one of several options.

I don’t bother with 4K. I have a 40” 4K and I can get games to run at 60fps pretty easy but weirdly I find I’ve hooked a 1080p 144hz panel back up and prefer just having that guaranteed framerate all the time. Bit of a waste of the 16gb vram my card has of course!

          Interesting!

My TV is 1080p but I can barely play the Spider-Man remaster at 30fps despite finishing it on PS4 last year and being completely fine.

I don’t know if the PS5 is doing something different but it just feels jerky now(as though there’s less motion blur) whereas it felt cinematic the first time. I did leave it on 30 for a while just to see and I started getting used to it so it may have been caused by switching modes.

I’ve found its not localised thing on PS5 as the SeriesX does it as well at 30 even with vrr enabled.

Personally i think its the 4k panel, but if your experiencing it on your 1080p panel then it may be something the new consoles are doing with the picture over the way the old ones processed and outputed?

Have you done as Tom Cruise requested and switched off all the additional motion settings on your TVs?!

I could sort of try it right now. I still have the PS4 Spider-Man disc and could compare it with the remaster at 30fps. I don’t have my PS4, though, so if the PS5 is doing anything differently then the comparison may not prove anything

I thought this was a joke flying over my head like an aeroplane that Cruise himself will jump out from but by golly it’s true:

They describe the process as though it’s cancelling a mobile phone contract, but I like this approach. Well done.

Looks like the Uncharted Legacy pack is going to run you a £10 upgrade to get the PS5 upgrades if you've got the PS4 version.

It looks like it also includes the Lost Legacy game even if you're just upgrading from the basic Uncharted 4 that comes without it.

I'm on chapter 20 of Uncharted 4 having played through it in 30fps. Not sure I can be bothered replaying it but a £10 fee to get the PS5 remaster of the Lost Legacy (which I don't own) along with the same for Uncharted 4 doesn't sound so bad.

                      It'll support a 60fps performance mode and a 1080p120 performance+ mode.

A bit cheeky to ask for £10 but I suppose getting both games upgraded is a better deal. Disappointing it doesn't include multiplayer though...

                          Some more Horizon FW footage.
                          Damn it's a looker!

Graphics in video games these days are bonkers.

I was playing Code Veronica the other day and remembering how in the 90s I’d daydream about games one day looking like the FMV cutscenes. Ha!

Hopefully the ps4 gets left behind very soon so Sony can concentrate on ps5 exclusives and really start opening it up. Though given the instal base this is highly unlikely.

What a sneaky move... whoever is making these business decisions at Sony literally never considers the consumer in any of it.
