Crazy hope: ICO remaster from BluePoint along with MGS2, 3 & 4 remasters for PS5.

Prediction: Spiderman2 & Wolverine will be featuring heavily.

Would love to see Bluepoint MGS remakes!

I have bought a few Brooklyn Brewery beers to enjoy tonight while I watch this.

It has the potential to set-up an incredible few years for PlayStation.

I'm hoping "arrogant Sony" don't turn up because Microsoft have "**** the bed" and they think they can get away with doing the bare minimum.

I can’t see PS3 Sony ever coming back, It just doesn’t work when Nintendo are pumping out 130m consoles. Whatever people think they are all competing for your attention, and TotK selling over 10m copies in days will certainly have Sonys.

What do you mean by PS3 Sony? For me the PSP was the last truly great Sony console.

Indeed. Truly great games on old hardware sell. On the other hand, Sony know that selling a powerful console with no compelling platform/generation exclusives is also extremely lucrative and continues to grind Xbox into the ground. If they announce a Slim tonight I'll pre-order and set it next to my TV then have a think about what to play on it.

People refer to “arrogant Sony” which was really just the PS3 launch period and about a year after. After that they changed things around and went on the warpath and came back to win the generation.

Crazy Hope: Effort, anything that shows from them this generation is actually going to properly begin

Prediction: A heavy focus on Spider-Man 2, Wolverine won't appear as it bleeds over too much with SM2, Twisted Metal as a GAAS title, possibly the Slim reveal, if Bluepoint do appear it won't be for a remaster and then 3rd parties for the rest. The timing is big but I feel it will end up reeking of a presentation they would trot out any time of year.

Expected to come in to a flurry of verdicts, just firing up the vid now myself

Wow that showcase was crazy, Some real highs like mother flipping Jourey on a surfboard in a sea off sand, like tony hawk and journey had a baby spider-man 2, Phantom Blade 0, metal gear snake eater and Dragons Dogma 2 and some duds like that foam party game which was clearly someone saying what happens if we put fortnite and splatoon together and marketed it at teenagers. That heist game looked ****e, and i wish they would cut the cgi bull**** but mostly it was pretty epic a real E3 showcase feel to it with something for everyone. Bungie remaking Marathon!!! it looked tripy as all hell can’t wait.

Well, that was, erm, a lot of game trailers.

It fell flat for me on the whole. Couple of interesting bits and Spidey 2 looks great!!

A steaming only handheld? Okay, why?

So much in that isn't my cup of tea (not Sony's fault, obviously).

-Fairgame$: CG trailer for the fail, I'm assuming this is just Payday knocked off
-Helldivers II: ... Barren planet EDF...?
-Immortals of Aveum: Magic FPS, not for me
-Ghostrunner II: This one will make a good few happy, first one didn't win me over that much so I'm on the fence here
-Phantom Blade 0: Likely ditto for me
-Sword of the Sea: Looks just like Journey 2 so I'm in on this one

                            I really enjoyed that!
Absolutely loads of content (an hour+), a real mix of titles, with some obvious genres, but some really unique looking stuff too.

Helldivers II looks to scratch my Lost Planet itch.

How lovely is that The Plucky Squire?

-The Talos Principle II: Back to stuff I'm not interested in
-Neva: Not sure what the point of that one being shown was
-Cat Quest: At this point it's really feeling like a standard showcase rather than a major one
-Foamstars: Now we're cynically ripping off Splatoon... this is why I've grown weary of current gaming. It's like my time is being stolen from me.
-The Plucky Squire: Nice visual style
-Teardown: A demo a while back didn't convince me so hoping the final game pays off
-Metal Gear Solid A: Snake Eater: I'm always happy to see 'true' MGS return at last, that was a ******* terrible reveal trailer though, you can already tell Kojima's out of the frame

Marathon, wow. Never would of predicted that at all, looks mental as well.

Helldivers2 was a nice surprise, didn’t like the first personally but this one looks right up my street.

Sword of the sea looks amazing.

Spidey2 looks smooth as butter dripping off a lubed seal technically, Insomniac doing the good works as always.

Great show on the whole with some nice surprises.
