Probably neither are lookers. My ps5 is off to the side and don't really pay it any dues, but man when I installed the SSD or gave it a clean I remembered how gargantuan it is.
Are any of the consoles nice looking? OG PS4 wasn't too bad I guess. The VHS Xbox was terrible, but the oneX is much better. I think you just kind of get used to them after a while. Probably a discussion for a different thread.

I still have a soft spot for the Xbox One X scorpio edition. Just clean lines, a standard design and some absolute heft to it. Loved that console... it was so far removed from the original Xbox One as well, which as you say was more VHS by design and boring because of it.

The Series X looks fine but it’s a pretty boring box. I like that the PS5 has an interesting look. I think it’s cool. It’s sort of weirdly organic and futuristic. To me consoles should be experimental in how they look. They are otherwise appliance-like enough as it is nowadays.

Doing the voting threads on the older machines, they definitely used to look better. The One X is very good in terms of scaling the form factor down. It's a very clean looking machine if... incredibly similar to the PS2.

Yeah the One X is extremely similar to the PS2. I like the shape of both.

I like the ps2 design. Always have. I can see why people hate it. I want to buy one just to mount on my wall.

I think the main issue with the PS5 for me is not only is it an odd shape it's also absolutely gigantic. I think if it were one or the other it would be more attractive but it's just a huge eye sore.

I agree the Series X looks pretty ugly on its side but at least standing vertically it isn't a skyscraper of a unit. It's more of a nice stout design and sat out directly underneath my TV it just kind of in pales into the background.

My PS5 is more like a mothership from close encounters in comparison. If it were half the size maybe it would be cute but as-is it's horrific. It's hidden into my unit horizontally on that stupidly flimsy stand and just looks odd. I also don't like that the orange standby light stays on all the time... would love an option to turn that off.

Ps5 looks better lying down, upright it just looks ginormous especially if you have it out on a desk or something. SeriesX is the better looking console this gen. I have a feeling the ps5 slim will look really good though.

Honestly at this point for me PS5 and XSX are basically just controllers and UI’s, I see those far more than I’ll ever see the consoles.
Let it be known though the PS5 is the most ridiculously sized console I’ve ever owned.

To be fair I actually really dislike how the PS5 looks on its side. So, if you have it like that, I can see why you hate it. It looks like a big plastic space burrito spilling its innards.

It is bonkers large, as well. I like it up right though. It's funky and weird. Keep consoles weird, I say!
