About the closest thing to an Xbox handheld we've seen this far.

Continuing the theme of how dislikeable MS can make an LE Xbox Series X of late

The distasteful Xbox Series X Gucci Edition

Why they can't just make some LE Series S...

          Jesus MS, get some taste!
I admire their drive to make LE consoles, but good lord!

I thought this had 69s all over it for a second...

The number of LEs they make is absolutely bonkers. By the time Neon Ignition makes a retro thread where we compare all the variations, 20 years hence, it’s going to take him about a week to set it up.

They must have a team just dedicated to designing these. The one I’m intrigued by is the inevitable Starfield edition. I really hope that’s nice cos I would buy one if so

If it’s a monstrosity I’ll be going with basic black. The Halo machine gives me hope though as, while not my thing, I thought that was very well done.

There is some info going around saying Stalker 2 is 180gb. I don't believe if for a second. Something would have to have gone very wrong.

To be fair the Call of Duty games are regularly topping 200GB these days and it's mostly just a few multiplayer maps and a five hour campaign.

The Halo one is a thing of absolute beauty. I wasn't too interested but now seeing lots of photos of it in the wild I really appreciate how nice it looks. It's very subtle and yet has tonnes of detail.

I hadn't even thought about a Starfield one but that could be very nice. I feel the rest of the LE ones are just 3rd party prize fodder. There's a monthly reward now through MS rewards and they always give you a free entry into a chance to win one of these consoles. So it looks like they're literally doing one a month.

Halo Infinite disc WON’T play before the release date. MS are blocking it from being played, even if you try and install it offline. Cheeky buggers

Seems physical media is largely pointless these days!

Yeah. Last night a mate asked me why I still buy games physically. I couldn't come up with a good answer

Being able to trade them is a decent reason but I so rarely bother to do that now.

It's more like just a habit at this point.

I haven't bought a physical disc game in nearly a decade...

They've eroded physical to the point where trade in remains the only reason to buy it and why I do for most big SP titles. Trading, even if you rebuy down the line digitally in a sale saves you a fortune.

But taking the new halo as an example, Microsoft have shown that they can stop you playing your physical copy if they want to. Digital games are a temporary license to play that game. Given this, game pass is actually the sensible option. It's major downside is it doesn't include every game, so you pay your monthly fee and still have to buy some games I guess. I'm pc only now. I miss out on console exclusives of course but if a publisher decides that I can't play a game I've bought from them I can just get a dodgy version. Not sure how often that ever happens, but the thought of it annoys me so here I am!
