A few years back there was some blog post somewhere that determined IKEA non-rechargeable batteries being by far the best bang for buck.

Although who doesn’t want to use rechargeables in 2022?

Michelin, I like to enjoy a fine three star meal on my lap while driving.

I would also consider Goodyear for their blimp expertise. Continental don't even make anything else except those rubbish hotel breakfasts.

how can you dismiss pastries for breakfasts, i once stayed in a hotel that had continental and full English and you could have both!!! i didn't eat for the rest of the week after that mega brex-fast, its a real shame that this type of thing is now illegal post Brexit.

I use rechargeable batteries and a decent 3rd party charger I got off Amazon on the cheap.

Used to use Eneloop ones all the time but I've picked up some cheaper brand ones on Amazon over the past few years and they're also pretty long lasting (2400mAh).

I actually wish Sony had a controller option that took AA... Its not like they make the Xbox controller more bulky or heavier and it seems to offer the same life or better.

I'm going to assume that this was the Ritz. On the basis that they're not one of those idiot hotels that only do beds for the night but that they also make those delicious crackers.

Not really- although brand will make a difference, not all devices are equally efficient. I take your point generally though, although I hadn't realised about the vanilla pads, because I haven't used mine. Got an Elite 2 with the Xbox as part of a forced bundle. I did use rechargeables on my Elite 1 though and I used to get hours out of that as well. Comparing non-battery controllers though, the Elite knocks the Dual Sense into a cocked hat. Can't really comment on the Switch Pro controller, as I hardly ever use it.

I got some plutonium from some Libyans, they wanted me to make a bomb with it but i instead used it to power my PS5 controller it now never needs charging. The only downside is when playing any racing game you have to keep your car under 88mph or it turns the PS5 into a PS1 which is extremely inconvenient!

Pro controller has alright battery life, but I find Nintendo controllers with rechargable batteries tend to lose stored charge fast when they're left lying around for a couple weeks. The Joycons and pro controller are always dead when I occasionally decide I want to play the switch once or twice a month.

I use the enloops for my xbox pads as well, brilliant rechargeables, though its always a mad dash to the kitchen to get the ones in the charger as they only run out when your online . You wouldn't have room in the PS5 pads for AA's, its jam packed in there.

I managed 65hs out of a single charge on a Switch Pro controller, i just assumed it was witchcraft and didn't question how. The pro controllers may run off the disappointment of Nintendo fans, could explain how they last so long.

Mine would be able to power the whole of Aberdeen for a decade if that were the case.

The switch itself seems to drain very quickly when not in use too. Mine's invariably dead on the odd occasion I pick it up.

A 9 from both IGN and Gamespot. Art style is an interesting one, reminds me of Max Payne cutscenes, but even more interesting is you can play in party mode with up to 8 players making the moral choices.

I love these sorts of games as a distraction so perfect game pass fodder. It's out tomorrow
