1080p... absolutely.

It plays some titles at a higher resolution but really 1080p is where it excels and some titles even support high frame rates... as an example MW2 / Halo have 120fps options.

It also supports Auto HDR for backwards compatible titles and it's also excellent if emulation is your thing.

Only real Achilles heel is storage is 512gb, but older titles can run off external drives fine.

Love mine.

That's a fantastic deal. If I could get one that cheap I'd buy it for the sole purpose of making it an emulation box. If it can run up to PS2 and Game Cube perfectly it would be worth replacing my emulation PC! Well, for the most part. I doubt all the obscure Japanese PC's and stuff like the Thomson MO5 are ported to run on the Xbox.

That’s only a tenner less than it normally costs here in Japan anyway (¥34,000 with GamePass; ¥33,000 without; both sold by Amazon).

I’ve been playing GameCube Winning Eleven 6FE and a few obscure PS2 games like Tokyo Bus Guide 2. So far almost everything I’ve tried is 60fps. Outrun 2006 dips occasionally during the parts where you pick the next course by driving left or right.

Just did this, bit nerve wracking at first as the website you redeem your code on had a different avatar image to my gaming profile, but the email addresses were the same and it all went through.

It is? Wow, didn't know it was so cheap over here. Hmm, very tempting to hear Game Cube and PS2 are running pretty much flawlessly. If there's cash over from buying Christmas presents, I may just treat myself to one of these.
Has anyone tried the X68000 emulator on it?

I've not dabbled too much with emulation but Gamecube worked well in my experience.

Yeah, they're just saying it cuz they're pushing their case for the Activision purchase, but it's also absolutely true. And they know that.

So on the week of Black Friday and before Xmas they release a statement that basically says 'Go buy a PlayStation'?! And this helps them how?

On the flip side you have Sony saying MS are trying to 'turn Sony into Nintendo'. Whatever that means.
