But I thought UE5 was being released to developers in March, so what work has been happening on ME4 so far?
Honestly they could've started development in UE4, too. The change won't be so massive that they would have to throw everything away. EA probably have a good understanding with Epic, so they would know where to start work and where to hold off.

True. I just hated the idea that the game was in a holding pattern until they can actually code something. I just pray it's good.

Yuji Naka has made a new game by himself, SHOT2048. I've played it a fair amount tonight and had a wonderful time. You fling dice down a board and matching numbers combine. Your goal is to get to 2048 but you can keep going after that for highscores. Really addictive and fun. The ads are A Bit Much but I paid to remove them because I'm enjoying it so much.

It's basically 2048 but with dice physics.

You can't read into it much, for any of the games on this list. People bail out of games for all kinds of reasons.

i found it far to repetitive and oppressive, the lack of any sort of leveling or progress system made it all feel to much like a slog for me, Ive played plenty of rouge like and difficult games so it wasn't that i couldn't get through it, it was more that i couldn't see the value of the investment of time in it. Running the first few biomes over and over was not fun, and for a £70 game it felt like half a game at times with no leveling or weapon upgrades just you and the luck of the draw.

You can end up with some amazing runs where you get massively over-leveled and your weapons are super powerful but your leaning bosses so you make mistakes you wouldn't do if you knew patterns and such. Then you end up on a series of terrible run where you get crap weapons and upgrade, so you end up chipping away at stuff instead of melting things. That's not skill based throwing you into bad luck runs where it feels like every-room and every upgrade is against you, it just feels like artificial padding

Hot on the heels of smash hit Balan Wonderworld, Yuji Naka is now...uh...developing clones of mobile phone games and putting ads in them.

EDIT: OK, the one time I try to contribute original news rather than just moaning or **** posting about news others have posted, and I'm three days late because Chopemon already posted it. I tried

Yeah, I paid over the odds for my GPU but since then it's gone up another 20-30% :-(

Similar for mine, if I sold it right now I'd get around £150 minimum more than I paid for it. Nuts

Don't know how many remember/care about Valhalla Game Studios, the company set up by Tomonobu Itagaki responsible for titles such as Devil's Third, Momotaro Dentetsu, and...nothing else, but it's now officially gone as all its assets have been absorbed by Soleil. Both studios are owned by Wakeup Interactive, which has announced the merger.
Itagaki left Valhalla in January 2021 to form his own studio, Itagaki Games, which to my knowledge still has to announced anything.

GunVein announced by NgDevTeam; no details given except for a 2022 release window and platforms (PC, PS4, Switch, X Box One)

                          Reminds me of Ghost Blade.

Yeah that very much looks like a follow up to Ghost Blade which is no bad thing as it's a cracking game. Probably my most played game of the last generation.

There are several things I could praise about Returnal but its visuals are definitely not one of them
