My wife is the same. She'll watch TV in the living room loud and boy, does it sound awful. It's so harsh and grating.

Does the ps5 already do this? Because I just plug my headphones in and play with no idea if it's still coming out of the speakers.

Atari are celebrating their 50th anniversary with GFTs. Once you stop laughing at the name, start cringing, as GFT stands for Giftable NFTs, and they are a combination of NFTs and lootboxes.

Congratulations Atari, you have beaten Konami in the "terrible ideas for an anniversary" department.

Jack, 8, became enamoured with Joe Danger but Apple iOS updates left mobile game defunct, prompting his father to seek developer’s help

A nice little story about a boy and the return of Joe Danger

No offence to Atari fans but they've always been a second rate compnay in my opinion except at the very beginning when there was no competition.

I don't think there are Atari fans, at least on this forum...and the Atari that did these GFTs, the hotel, the cryptocurrency, the (modern) VCS, and many more, is not the Atari of old, it's just a company leeching off anything that remains in the Atari name; IIRC the old Atari is now Infogrames.

That's such a shame. Sega are the Arcade. Oh well, they easily out lasted Namco, Taito, SNK and Konami arcades. All of those died years ago. Well, maybe there's the odd Namco one still around here and there.

Last time I was in Japan, I found Sega arcades more geared towards recent games and redemption machines, with little to no space devoted to old games. This was in sharp contrast during my first visit, when they had at least one floor dedicated to old Sega machines, like the 74 simulator.
Namco arcades still had a few old cabinets here and there (at least the one in Akihabara did).

Depends on where you go. Sega seemed to have the gamers arcades out of the main areas and filled main area arcades with new stuff, ufo captures and crap to get in the young women.

When I moved to the city I live in, 20 years ago there were 5 Sega arcades. Now there are none

Gutted that SEGA are dumping their arcades but as long as the HEY! continues to operate in Akihabara, I'll be happy.

Due to "licensing restrictions", GODS Remastered will be delisted on the 27th of March.

It's always sad when games can no longer be sold but, at least this time, the impending delisting was communicated well in advance and the game is on sale for £0.79 on most platforms.
