A Baroque spin off surprised released on iOS and Android today. I haven't played it yet but it's a casual jumping game by the looks of it.

Yahoo Japan is going dark in Europe:

Presumably folks will still be able to access via VPN and as most people here seem to conduct shipping on there through an intermediary, it hopefully shouldn't affect regular users too much.

Ah.

Or, does this also include the likes of proxy bidding services? If so, that is a real kick in the balls.

As I understood it, most proxies have you search / navigate through their own sites which in turn interact with YAJ via APIs. Geo-blocking European IPs from the site won't effect that, but naturally there are still plenty of ways for them to start turning away proxies if that's what they're actually wanting to do.

Konami Announced Financial Results Led by Strong Gaming Performance & Recovery in Other Businesses
"Today Konami announced its financial results for the first nine months of the fiscal year 2022, which ended on December 31, 2021.
The publisher mentions that the Digital Entertainment Business, which includes console and mobile games, on top of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, performed strongly, and the other businesses are also recovering from the impact of COVID-19.
As such, the whole company’s revenue increased by 12% year-on-year, while profit grew by 30.2%.
Looking at the Digital Entertainment business, revenue grew by 6.4% and profit grew by 6.5%. year-on-year.
An interesting note comes from the amusement business, which normally takes care of the development and distribution of arcade machines. Under its umbrella, Konami has released the Konami Amusement Game Station, a service that offers access to arcade games like Bombergirl on PC and mobile platforms.
According to the publisher, this service continues to grow and enjoyed solid performance.
As usual, it appears that the Edens Zero console game that was revealed at Tokyo Games Show 2020 and was a no show this year is still being worked on, with no release window. We’ll have to wait and see what happens with this one."

Gran Turismo 7 preview: A return to expansive, grindy, car-collecting roots
"If Sony and Polyphony Digital stick to their current deadline, the newest installment of the 25-year-old Gran Turismo franchise should launch on March 4. Gran Turismo 7 will be the first GT game for the PS5 console (there's a PS4 port for those of us who can't get a hold of the latest-gen hardware). The game will have a bunch of new features and see the return of plenty of older ones.
Earlier today, Sony published a half-hour "state of play" video showing off GT7, and earlier this week, the company briefed Ars on the new game. Read on to find out what we know—and crucially, what we're still waiting to find out ahead of the game's launch,"

Not For Broadcast awarded Guinness World Record
"With over 42 hours of video footage, Not for Broadcast is now a Guinness World Records holder.NotGames and Tiny Build announced today that their new game, Not For Broadcast, has been given a world record in addition to a successful launch on PC. With 42 hours 57 minutes and 52 seconds of footage, Guinness World Records confirmed the feat. It now holds the record for the most FMV in a video game.
Worthy of a Guinness World Record
Players are seated at the National Nightly News broadcast table in Not For Broadcast. Choose the camera angles, screen the bad words, and make tough editorial choices. Either that or simply run advertising for sponsors who will gladly pay you a little additional money.
Not For Broadcast
The 42+ hours of full-motion video is split into eleven episodes of branching, interactive television. Not For Broadcast is an easy-to-use interface to make the terrible realm of live television enjoyable and approachable. With a click, you may change video channels, remove static, pick which sponsor recordings to broadcast, and keep an eye on the ratings.
Not For Broadcasts is available on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for the PC."

A remaster of Hogs of War is underway, but still a long way from release.
Hogs of War Reheated
Let's hope the 'of its time' sense of humour and Rik Mayall's voice acting are kept in this new version.
