OSSC Pro ready for production...when they xan source enough components
Initally the unit won't support S-Video and composite, they'll be added via software update later. Composite will run through component RCAs, adapter needed for S-Video.

Know very little (read: nothing) about the studio, but this trailer for Showa American Story has got my interest.

I really like the look of that Showa game. I think the dev is quite small and I'm fairly sure it is made out of a lot of Unreal marketplace assets and it looks cool.

Not really news but a good article about people importing Japanese arcade games into the US. I think the author may have a slightly different definition of gritty than I do but a fun read. https://www.wired.com/story/gritty-u...arcades-to-us/

Ooh, I saw this earlier today. Reminds me of the intro to Patlabor 2.

TERA Online will end service in Japan on April 20th, a mere three months after a major patch including a new main quest, dungeon, and master classes; the shutdown will cover all social media accounts as well. Other regions will remain online.

Rumors from Bloomberg and EEtimes say that nVidia will abandon its acquisition of Arm due to inability of getting it approved. Other rumors say that Softbank, the current owner, will start a public offering.

More mobile games biting the dust: this time it's Atelier Online: Alchemist Of Bressisle, that will end service in Japan on March 31st, after three years and half of service.
The game launched internationally last year, and it's currently unknown what will happen outside Japan.

Capcom Announces Record Financial Results Again; Resident Evil Village Has Shipped 5.7 Million Units

"Today Capcom announced its financial results for the first nine months of the fiscal year 2021, which is related to the period that ended on December 31, 2021.

Sales were 88,163 million (up 35.9% year on year) and operating income was 35,096 million yen (up 43.9% year on year).

Sales of video games for the fiscal year reached 25.8 million units (up 30.3% year on year)

While the company did not release major new games during the third quarter (between September and December), they continued to promote sales of catalog titles released in previous quarters and still achieved record-breaking sales and profit for a third quarter.

We also hear that Resident Evil Village shipped 5.7 million units, while Resident Evil 7 Biohazard shipped over 1 million units for the 6th consecutive fiscal year, topping 10 million units in total (bringing the franchise up to 123 million units shipped).

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin shipped over 1.4 million units, while Rise is confirmed at 8 million. Cumulative sales for the franchise are now at 78 million.

For the rest of the fiscal year, Capcom is continuing to promote sales growth for console games and focusing on the development of games to bolster the pipeline for the next fiscal year."

"The Xbox Series X will now automatically mute your TV speakers when it connects to a pair of headphones. However, this feature is not enabled by default, so you’re going to have to take a trip into the settings menu to activate it.

                          1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the Xbox guide
                          2. Scroll down and select Settings
                          3. Select Volume and audio output followed by Additional Options
                          4. Toggle on the Mute speaker audio when headset is attached "

I was surprised to hear that it's still around. But I guess it still has some pretty unique selling points.

Cool feature but pointless to me. My TV speakers have never been active despite them being a Dolby Atmos set up. TV speakers suck big time
