Still don't see it. The concept itself is inherently flawed. They can make a game with a large community function, maybe a social platform with minor gaming elements but both those are pre-existing things and no different than the usual pursuit of the next big thing. The Metaverse is just a Zuckerberg PR word and will remain so.

The court of public opinion (i.e., Twitter et al) have dragged his name through the mud and it's incredibly difficult to recover from that, no matter how large the settlement's payment figure is. I hope he pulls it off and that every company that cut ties with him at the faintest whiff of a PR nuissance face tremendous backlash.
