The japanese direct had a few more games the western one didn't including another that looks & feels like boku no natsuyasumi called yasumon. There's a bunch of stuff between the regions to keep me occupied in this upcoming year, hell there's already a ton on my preorder list before the direct started.

I love pikmin but I don't care for the dog thing...Why a dog? Why not a sentient sprout creature? Either way I'm getting it, it just smelt of that yarn dog thing being in that willy yoshi game I never played.

Not sure what to think of Layton, definitely looking to get we love katamari and of course TOTK, that black and white deer game looked sweet.

Looks like Nintendo ranout of Wii games to port and starting are fishing the the gamecube library, lets F-zero or Viewful Joe make it one day.

You know a handheld is getting into its greybeard years when the JPRGs start trotting out in their masses. Lots to show in that Direct though little of interest. That being said; Metroid, Pikmin, Advance Wars and Zelda in a 6 month window is a strong showing from Nintendo itself and maintains the curiosity as to what will be in the second half (dear god not more Pokemon and Fire Emblem, please)

Still very mixed with Zelda, it looks more different than it used to and yet not different enough at the same time so with time running out that one will be a play and see. Prime was the real star of the show thanks to that drop - Metroid Prime 4... Switch

Also - WTF was going on with Splatoon 3? I haven't played it yet but the Expansion Pass seemed to be selling a hub environment as DLC? I assume the second wave will be something like the campaign for Splatoon 2, I hope so.

MK8 DLC is far off which will bum the kids out who were expecting it Easter time to coincide with the film but Yoshi's Island looks good anda new racer
