Biggest thing I'm interested in from the Direct today is, hopefully though not guaranteed, a proper look at LOZ: TOTK

Six years on and a direct sequel to BOTW remains one of the least interesting Zelda prospects I've ever faced however since the games existence was first made known so many years have passed and so little shown of it that there's absolutely no way that the new game won't be significantly different in multiple ways which has reignited my intrigue over it. Really hoping that Nintendo have taken inspiration from other open world titles that were outstripping BOTW way back then and injected some of their ideas into a heavily expanded title that delivers on what the previous game was praised for but I never felt delivered on.

Yeah Tears of the Kingdom is the most interesting thing Nintendo have coming by far. Will deffo be interesting to see more of it.

I think we'll get another peek, but maybe only an announcement of a Direct dedicated to it in March, maybe on BOTW's 6 year anniversary (3rd).

Hoping for news regarding Advance Wars.

UPDATE 11.30pm UK: Nintendo has now officially opened its own pre-orders for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and confirmed…

Nintendo's first $70 game. this will probaly translate to the uk getting charged £70 for it

I'm mindful of Retro's future if it doesn't make release this gen. They seem to have suddenly hit a bad run post-Tropical Freeze. Maybe a little too much inspiration taken from Rare

I know Nintendo prices are inflated anyway but literally won't be paying this. One way or another, even if it's auction via ebay down the line a bit instead. Nintendo don't have a leg to stand on at that price. Pure shill if it holds

Gotta be a placeholder price, surely??

365games have a pre-order at £49.99 currently. Might latch onto that, although it could easily go lower elsewhere like Currys around launch time.

Edit: £48.85 at Base.com/Hit. Still more than I've ever paid for a Switch game though.

Pretty sure they take money at order instead of taking money at shipping, no?

Went ahead and placed with Base.com/Hit, who I have used a few times in the past. They take at dispatch and is apparently still the case. You're right that 365games takes at order though, didn't realise that until now as I've not placed a pre-order there.

                            Cheers for clarifying.

I've never really used Base so might have to jump on Hit.

I'm assuming that if a £70 RRP is true, the price of pre-ordering will go up after tonight's Direct presentation.
