I like how it acknowledges real life is shrouded in sadness He really should be wearing headphones on that bus though.

He might have been looking forward to Redfall the other week. Certainly looks like the case.

There is a truly, deeply special place in Hell for people who blast music out of their smart devices on public transport without using headphones or earphones.

Those people are the f'n worst.

I like the ad a lot too. I definitely do not see any shades of myself in it though, as I am still hip, young and cool.

It does remind me though of an even better version of the same idea though, which was a Japanese FFXIV ad which did this montage of this group of friends through different stages of early life - doing fun stuff as kids, being inseparable at school, eventually graduating and then... you jump forward quite a bit and you're left with one of them who is now in full dowdy salaryman getup and clearly very bored with life. But then! They reconnect and all start playing FFXIV together! At first they're getting battered trying to clear the Titan encounter (BEEN THERE), but you see them chatting away on their headsets in each of their own little gaming dens, strategising and practicing the fight, and eventually winning over.

Annoyingly Square-Enix have made it very bloody hard to find it online, but I'll have a dig around later and see if I can find a version that's managed to evade their wrath. Quite why you want to stop people seeing an advert for your game is another question entirely, but that's for another day.

That’s a very frank and true to life advert, I like it.

              Is it this one?

I'm sure there was a longer version too at some point, but that's absolutely the one!

Great shout fuse. I'd say that was undoubtedly an inspiration for the Zelda ad.

Maybe he was just rinsing it and then filled it with vodka.
... I feel we could flesh out this guys dark existence very quickly and how Zelda saved his life

Zelda should be arriving today, very excited, I mean I don’t have time to play it but the box art is nice.

Taking a break from the joys of Re-Boot Camp?
