Right, I have an Ipod 2G and it is slowly dieing on me....do I a) get a Rio Karma for ?135 or b) get an Ipod mini for ?135.

I really like the mini, but for the same price I can get something with double the battery life and 5X the capacity (minus the size). Bear in mind my old Ipod was 20gb.

They better have some in new york at the start of april ft: as thats when I'm going to get mine hopefully. I still haven't decided on what colour I want, does anywhere in the uk stock them? I really want to see them in the flesh to help me decide.

For some reason yesterday I tried phoning an apple store in the us to see if they had enough stock in but couldn't really get through probably because I phoned at 4am here which is around midnight there. I don't even know why I phoned I was probably drunk, its just this image has made me have a one track mind about getting a mini, I still can't decide on which colour I want though, blue or grey

It looks like a nice way of listening to music on my iPod in the bedroom and charging it at the same time, anyone got one of these? What do you think? I have noticed the prices are a lot lower than the ?150 it was when I first saw one.

My Ipod has gone to silicone heaven after getting some problem that when it starts all that appears was a folder with an exclamation mark. I rebuilt and formatted the thing but no joy, plus it only showed as having 38Mb of space on it, despite it being 10Gb. So, a nice new Ipod is on its way to me again, thank god for the one year warrenty, this will be my second.

I'd be interested in getting one of those speaker kits. I've got all my music on my iPod and by extension, having it all in my bedroom to listen to on the bed would be brilliant.

It just seems like it may be a little awkward navigating songs on it though. If there was some kind of remote just to skip forwards or backwards, and alter the volume, that may be enough.

The price is far too high though. I'd rather get a normal cheapo CD player and use all my CDs than get that thing at ?100! But I'm very poor at the moment, so that probably explains it!

A good idea that I may invest in with more time and information, but at the moment it's just not quite for me.

It was on the news today that iPod owners should be aware that the distinctive iPod earphones make people clearly showing them a target for muggings. As they are instantly recognasable and expensive, lots of people are getting them nicked. Either get other headphones, stop flaunting them or take the risk and look cool! 8)

hmmm, I've had my mini ipod for about a week now and so far it shows no signs of any of the problems listed in the above link. Thank **** for that and touch wood as they say.

I have to say, it's a really lovely little piece of hardware though, it's so small I forget it's in my pocket sometimes. I got the grey/silver one, it doesn't look as crap as the other colours.

The image in my head now is me with the iPod scroller wildy rotating my finger around the wheel as fast as I can to scroll from A Perfect Circle to Zwan as quickly as I can!

I don't think my lady would appreciate that!
