Derek, you won't need a stepdown. The powerbrick is multi voltage. Also, if you use firewire you can charge it from the computer.

      Hey mate,

Well I'm not in a desperate rush, but I'd like it asap really due to having no mp3 player at the moment

I'll give them a ring when they open and find out - if you could do that for me it would be much appreciated!

                They are sold out

Guess my only hope is the Apple Store, however they seem reluctant to answer the phone!!

Would either of you two super guys be up for checking in on the apple store to see if they have any of the 512mb?

Just got my mini ipod today......very nice little mp3 player. Although after about 2 hours worth of playing around with it i've come to the conclusion that my creative zen extra pisses on it for sound quality and features.

And itunes is a real hassle to deal with at the moment, not as user friendly as creatives media source.

But i still love my mini ipod......weee silver beauty...:P

iTunes is oh so very easy to use. What's giving you the trouble?

Just the basic moving tunes around, and the fact that it updates everytime i plug the ipod in. Added loads a albums last night only for bloomin itunes to delete them all from my ipod when i later tried to make a new addition....

But i think i've sussed it now though, although i'm not to keen on the way itunes puts the songs in different folders. Maybe i'm just used to creative media source.....which isn't perfect by any stretch.

When the iPod is plugged in click on the small iPod icon in the bottom left of iTunes. Select manually manage songs and playlists. That will stop that problem. What do you mean by "songs in different folders" BTW?
