I was considering one of those but the involvement of water and several hundred pounds worth of electronics scared the **** out of me. I ended up getting a Martin Fields screen protector since I've had good experience with those on phones and PDAs.

3GP_Converter034 is the best thing I`ve found to convert avi files for the ipod video, on a side note I purchased a 30 gig ipod video last week from argos only to find that my mother has got me one for xmas and has the thing engraved. What are my chances of returning the original one to argos? or should I chuck it on flea bay.

you've got a 16 days no-questions money-back guarantee with argos, even with opened stuff, except for software, etc. i dunno what they'd say about an ipod as it has software with it, but the ipod software is free anyway. depends on the condition, i guess.

is it possible to buy replacement plastic films like the ones that come on brand new ipods? mine is starting to doggy-ear slightly at the top corners (i used a teeny bit of double-sided tape on one corner and it's fine but haven't done the other corner yet).

failing that, what about some standard sort of sticky-backed plastic that won't leave a mark? i don't mind cutting my own templates if need be

Anybody got a decent set of headphones to go with their 'pod'? The Apple ones are gay. Also, where is the best (ie: Cheapest) place to get a charger as the bastards don't include them with the newer models

no seriously, i'm just after something cheap and cheerful. i've already dropped the ipod and the back has some little dents and chipped paint, but the front is fine. not after an all-over cover, just more sticky-backed plastic like the stuff they come with already

As I said before, I highly recommend the Martin Field's covers if that's what you're after. They have them in single and twin packs over at www.mobilefun.co.uk and you get free delivery if you sign up to their newsletter. If you're within range of an Apple Store, they sell a set of covers by a company called Power Support which have also received decent reviews.
